I have been thru the new codex many times and soooo many choices it seems like am not sure which to pick. I just got done with what i liked and found it was 2950 pts, i need to make it 2500 not sure what to cut but i wanted to abuse imotech and stay shooty and foot slog. Also i wanted to abuse death marks ability since you can mark 3 enemy units it dosen t matter which deathmark unit hits, the all get 2+ to wound. Thanks for help

I use deathmarks too, but remember they can't deep strike with Crypteks attached to them.
You may even be putting too many points into your courts. I could see you having issues dealing with an armored assault, unless you are counting on the Eldritch Lances to deal with them?

The twenty-man warrior squad you will want to cut to another 10-man, get scarabs to eat armor alive

thought about scarbs but i still seem to favor destoryers, i did think about not useing them and instead using tomb blades in middle of focre so i can boost and give them shadowloon so the have 2+ cover save, then drop imotek for another overlord. The 20 man warriors would be supported by the 2 ghost arks to keep it high in numbers.

also had a thoguht maybe using lychguard with veil and overlord thoguhts??

Lychguard with a overlord and a res orb w/ the veil would be a nasty death-star unit. I do love my lychguard, I take them with the shields to boost their survivability with the invuln saves.
Imotek might be a little pricey yeah, i'd take a DIY overlord instead, you'll get plenty of night-fighting with your solar pulses, at least until you guys are definitely in range of each other's guns.

I would put one with the lychguard, one with an immortal squads, and then put the normal lords w/ res orbs with the other squads.
For the deathmarks, I wouldn't put a lord or overlord in with them, because then they can't deep strike. Unless you want to just footslog them, and then use veil of darkness to move rapidly.
Also remember, they can't mark a target that isn't deployed. So if your opponent has a Trygon in reserve, you would be out of luck, unless you wished to use the Deathmarks' ability to deep strike following a reserve coming in.


You may want to look at how many crypteks you are taking, by my count, right now you have 9 of them, that is a lot of points sunk, you will need to shrink your royal courts to only 10 IC's, given that you would have 2 overlords

I was going to footslog the 10 man deathmarks for sure and then depending what the play deepstrike other 2. at one point i thought about getting rid of all warriors and running just immortals but not sure if that is a good idea or not but that would cut points. I know i got lots of people in court but i really thought it would be neat to use 5 crpteks with lances and just go to town BOOM!!!

Fair enough, you could probably get away with dropping the 20 warrior squad to make the points total you are looking for. You have a a veryyyy strong troop-base in your list. Yeah, that many lances is likely to score quite a few hits. I'm not sure, but the max on a royal court, if i am not mistaken is five IC's per overlord, so for you, that'd be ten IC's. You'd need to cut two of them.
Having the crypteks in the 5-man deathmark squads means they can't deep strike.
If you somehow could, i'd get a doomsday arc to provide a long-ranged threat for your enemy to focus on while you advance.

if you don t attach to a unit you can have 5 lord and 5 crypteks as one court ( which i have thought about as well 10 pretty good people) if you leave them you get 5 lancers and 1 lord who you could give orb, scythe etc to. The word ing says you "may" break them off to lead another unit but if not the stay in royal court. so here is some fun 5 lancers and 5 diffent lord with scythes with imotek just saying.

new thought of would I rather put overlords with death mark, immortals or lychguard but either way take crptek w/ veil and then an orb with overlord.
