Hey Dakka,

I want to start doing 40k, never really got into it before, was too young, didn't have much money, but brothers helped me out a bit by letting me use theirs, so was alright. Just got out a box of some old models, and they didn't look so good, so I am going to hope that I can do better!

I got into Gamesworkshop when I was really young when I used to stare in awe at my brothers models, with their awesome weapons, tanks, and scenery, and eventually bought the Battle of Maccrage with him. I painted a few models in it, but mainly liked looking at the pictures and learning about the models. My brother bought me some books about 40k, and we played some games on the computer, as I was never really good at painting, this was the easiest way to get my fill of 40k. But this made me think about starting to paint properly, and learn how to make my models look good. So I hope my enthusiasm stays and pays off! =]

I plan on painting Tyranids, with my brother doing Imperial Fists, and playing games together once we have got the hang of it a bit, so should be fun =]

I have seen a few threads on here with amazing models which I could never imagine myself painting, but I will do my best =]
