Hey hey, thanks for looking!

After reading lots of other blogs on this section of Dakka (i lurk.. *cue creepy laugh*) i decided i should do a little Blog of my own. Guess i should start with a little waffle of text followed by pics (far more interesting)

Little about me i guess...I am not long into painting, started back into the hobby after half baked attempts when i was about 10years old (now 26) and decided on space marines as the army for me for re-kicking up the hobby. I initially started with Dark Angels & then Black Templar which looked AWFUL! and quickly got bored of trying to paint them and kind of gave up for a good 8/9 months, until just before Xmas i got a surprise present in form of the Vallejo Game color box set and a Contemptor dreadnaught, not sure why but that kind of set me off painting again, that i suppose leads me on to making this P&M blog, which is mainly just to keep myself motivated to keep going (seeing all I've done in one place) and if others like what they see that's an added benefit

Initially i wanted to paint my army up to be the Storm Wardens chapter after reading their background, but was unable to find any shoulder pads or decals so instead kept the colors and made them the Storm Guards.
In my own strange mind they're fighting on a toxic industrial world, hence mud and dust on legs/base and then rust on the exposed metal parts (but not the blue painted armor sections)

Anyhooos! enough waffle on with what I've done so far, starting with my armies captain, who i cobbled together out of Sanguinary Guard pieces (shaved of blood drops) , Black Templar and commander bits.

Assault Marines, used left over bits of contemptor / dreadnaught for bases.

Scouts (which i HATED painting, I am rubbish at doing faces & the bolter arms / shotgun just refused to attach to the body correctly)...they'll be rusted up too soon...i knocked over my pigments

Dreadnaught , lights washed out most of the blue, but its same as marines above.

And finally the model that kick started me back into painting ... I used my older GW paints for this so darker color ...but seeing as he is UBER old (in fluff) he fits in nicely in person.

If you got this far then thanks for taking time too look hope it wasn't too painful to your eyes lol

Left on my current list of painting is

5 HQ models
5 Vanguard Vet's Converted from Sanguinary Guard
5 Sternguard
10 Terminators
1 Landspeeder
30 Tac Marines
1 Librarian
1 Chaplin and a partridge in a pear tree!

Best go get busy!
