In a trukks list, do you recommend klaws/planks? I'm think of a situation where you face a skimmer army.

if a Skimmer moves 12 inches, I move my Trukk close and use the plank, am I hitting on 6's still? If I use the Klaw first and it grabs him, am i still hitting on 6's till next round?

beyond that, are klaws planks generally a good idea or waste of points. thinking of buying 4 more trukks so would like to know how to model them most effectively.

Trukks can't take" grabbin' klaws" (which are different from power klaws), so there's that, and even if you had a battle wagon with one, the klaw strikes in the other player's movement phase, when they try and move away, so you'd still be hitting on 6s in your turn.

In all, trukks are very fragile so you want more trukks rather than fancier trukks. I ran 6 at 1750 for a while (along with some other bits and bobs) and found that it wasn't enough, really. you'd want 6~8 trukks AND 6~9 war buggies (TL rokkits for preference) if you want to go the all AV10 route.

back on topic, i think the plank is a bit of a waste. better to disembark, surround the vehicle, and then try and wreck it, killing everyone inside. 2~3 trukks worth of boys can surround a couple of rhinos and have enough attacks to be worrying.

Klaws can only go on wagons, not on truks. It would be awsome if they could go on truks, but that would be op and everybody would take them.

Once a vehicle is imobolized for any reason including but not limited to imobolized damage result, failed dangerous terrain test, crew stunned, or grabing klaws the vehicle is autohit in cc until it makes a sucessful move.

Yeah, the Planks are only good against Dreadnaughts, not Skimmers.

So, planks = not worth it with trukks?

Boarding Planks are awesome on any and all Ork transports. Anything which gives you a chance to bust open an enemy transport with your power klaw without getting your squad of guys shot to death is a good thing.

Grabbin' Claws are also great against enemy vehicles, particularly skimmers, but you can't take those on Trukks, as was pointed out.

Yeah, planks are popular with players who like to send Power Klaws rampaging around the table. Otherwise not worthwhile.

I'd be really interested in the concept of an Ork list which wasn't reliant on power klaws.
