Compilation of shots from my most recently completed model. This was my first time attempting any OSL effects. I think it pretty decent. C&C welcome.

Wow! I must say I love the colors and the osl. Also the base is quite nice. I think you make a somewhat common figure very unique.

Thanks!! I really appreciate your comments as a fellow Angel of Sanguinius.
I was very tempted to try and apply that blood splatter technique on your dread to this model. In the end it just didn't make sense.

Ah cool. Yeah I wanted to do some blood splatter to mine as well but just the way the axe is it just doesn't look right to me. Is that the secret weapon base?

This is the finecast one right? If so you seem to have gotten a pretty good one...your painting is very good!
However the bit I loved most from the original was the cool lightning effect on his power axe...would you consider having a bash at that too?

It is indeed the finecast version. I had to do some minor work in a couple of places and there is a spot on his rear end where the mold was off so there's a pretty terrible mold line where I had to cut off some of the armor ribbing and re-sculpt. Luckily, my poor sculpting skills are hidden since it's covered by the jet pack. All in all, yes, I got very lucky.
I assume by 'original' you mean the GW version? I'll have to crack open my codex and see what he looks like there. I do feel like the axe is missing a little bit of kick. So perhaps I might give it a go and repost.
Sorry for the image spam, but I added a link to the gallery for this guy if folks don't mind dropping in and tossing a few votes in.
