I HATE finecast in the extreme. I refuse to use it lol so I have an issue. I need to get a draigo and castellan crowe and maybe even a coteaz model but I will not use resin XD
So the big question here is what could I do to make these guys what models might look good to show my opponent it's still crowe draigo etc while NEVER touching resin -.-

Get a marine.
Equip him with a large sword.
You have Castellan Crowe.

Get a terminator.
Give him a large shield and a sword.
You have Draigo.

More seriously: There are other model ranges you can use for problems like this... can't think of any but there probably are some...

The new bt emperor's champion is a great looking crowe. I hated the finecast too and had "issues." repairing the dumb models,

Well, went to buy the three of them tonight...looked...saw finecast and almost threw up. I bought dante and a jump chaplain and in my innocence thought "OH MAN THIS IS AWESOME" Got home and still haven't painted those things. So stupid with that resin crap

The plastic GK Terminator and Power Armor kits are extremely versatile. You could use them as the base model for Draigo and Crowe, using some extra bits to give them some flavor.

I just saw the master of the watch, it looks promising but I dunno. I may have to relent on my finecast hate though I just don't see anything that covers it like those two do especially the giant shield on draigo and the sword for crowe...I did see in my PAGK box that there is a sword going through a daemon's head or maybe it's an ork however someone might interpret it and I might use him as crowe...I dunno yet =[

My Finecast Crowe didn't have any flaws and was awsome to put together compared to my metal version.

You just have to make sure the model you are purchasing didn't get made in one of the first few runs of Finecast. Those are the ones that have all the nasty bubbles because they hadn't perfected the process yet.

Finecast is perfectly fine now with no more issues then is perfectly normal for the process.

Go to your local store and check the figure int he blister. If it's bad quality, don't buy it, if it's good quality, do buy it. Alternately, look on eBay for metal versions of the same models from before the switchover; my FLGS had them only a couple weeks ago.

Converting special characters is a common practice. As long as their wargear is well represented then you're golden.

My flgs doesn't even carry grey knights...aside from maybe a couple boxes of PAGK termies and a dreadknight =[ so I will definitely have to order him =[ I guess I'll give them another shot...but this is my last go at it and if they do look terrible...out on finecast for LIFE lol
