I was thinking to give Vectored Retro-thrusters a little boost by giving suits +1/2 Initiative when they are equipped with them.
It would give them a chance to get away from some things before getting utterly destroyed.
What do you guys think?

I'm guessing this is for Tau and their Battlesuits?
and is the Initiative bonus for sweeping advances? or active all the time?

in Inquisitor, a Space Marine can take a krak grenade, pull out the pin, eat the grenade, throw the pin, and the thrown pin will actually kill a normal man, whereas the Space Marine won't even have indigestion. This has actually happened in a game. Hell, a marine can throw his bolt shells and do more damage than by shooting his boltgun |

Considering VRT are special issue, you can only have 1 of them, and even then only on a commander (or suitable other model). As such, you're talking about a unit that is down to 1 guy (or, I guess was 1 guy to start with) that is in an assault for at least 1 phase. Pretty sure a small I boost isn't going to help.

Strictly speaking, if you've taken VRTs on your Commander, you've already gone wrong somewhere.

No, sorry I didn't really explain, I was aiming this for the XV9 battlesuits.
And the Initiative boost is only for when using the Hit and Run affect.

Yea, I 3 never did it for me ether. IMO they should just get a automatic escape rule, but that's probably overpowered.
