I've read the rulebook several times, and tried to search for answers online, but only come up with one unit assaulting multiple.

I was playing a game, and my opponent had two units in assault range of one of my units. Is he allowed to assault with both? I was under the impression that once a unit was in assault, it could not be targeted by another unit for shooting or assaulting, so once the first unit assaulted mine, the second could no longer do so. He insisted that both units could move into assault against mine at the same time, so I let him do it since I'm pretty new, but I still to this day don't feel like that is right. I've never found anything in the book to support it.

If I'm wrong, please tell me where I can find the text allowing this.

Thanks!

As long as both units shot at your unit, or did not shoot at all, they can both assault the same unit. You might be confused about the first restriction. If a unit is already locked in assault that unit cannot assault another unit. For more information re-read page 41.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

You cannot target a unit that is involved in a combat.

But, assaulting them is totally legit.

The only way they can't be assaulted is if the 2nd unit doesn't have space to get into B2B with anything.

Thanks for the quick reply, but where is this allowed?

Am I wrong to think that only one unit can move/shoot/assault at a time? If that is the case, wouldn't the second unit to assault be unable to assault since the target is already in assault?

Forgive me if I'm stupid, but I just want to understand why.

EDIT: Okay, so I must have misunderstood. You can assault a unit that is already locked in assault? Only shooting can not target them?

I update my post. Page 41, if you missed it.
