Hi all.

Im new to Flames of War but my interest in WW2 and wargaming have inevitably lead me to this astounding looking game. However i cant seem to find anywhere that hosts any games, and all my friends are currently concentrating on 40k and BFG.

Im from Liverpool but looking for any clubs around the North West who play this.

Any help or advise is appreciated.

Why the Flag? Are you in the US?

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Try the Liverpool Wargames Association (LWA), a quick Google will get you the contact details.

They have premises near Moorfields station

Wily, thanks for the details. I'll have a look into them.

Not sure what's going on with the flag. I've checked my profile and it says it automatically allocates a flag based on my ip. Not sure why it thinks I'm in USA though.

We're all American now

As for clubs, this is a handy place to start - http://www.newarkirregulars.org.uk/links/clubs.html

Some of the links are outdated, but at least it will give you a club name that may or may not turn up trumps on google.

You're back in England now it says! I'm near Liverpool too so was looking for somewhere to have a few games. Does the one near Moorfields station get a good turn-out?

I got in touch with them last week and they have 40 active members, with 12 tables.

Here is the list of active games they sent me:

Ancients - DBA, DBM, and Members own.
Renaissance - DBR, Tercio, Nutt.
Napoleonic - Corps D Armiee, Clubs own Naval.
ACW - Johnny Reb, Fire & Fury
Franco Prussian - They died for glory
World War I - Members own. Dreadnought, Micro Fleet WWI
World War II - Blitzkrieg, Commander, Flames of War, Command Decision, Rapid Fire, Members own Micro Armour Rules, Split board 20mm,
Modern - Cold War Commander, Members own Vietnam & Micro Armour Rules.
Science Fiction - Warhammer 20k, Gothic Fleet, Full Thrust.
Role Playing - Pathfinder, D20, CoC, Vampire, Marvel Super Heroes,
RuneQuest
Board Games - Everything from Empire in Arms to Ticket toRide

Plus it's 24 hours access upon prior notice, so if you don't finish your game you can come back the next day and finish it off.

Hope this helps.

Well, you don't stuff facts into the Right Wing Outrage Machine©. My friend, you load it with derp and sensationalism, and then crank that wheel.
