I wouldn't trade all your warriors for immortals...just one squad. I wouldn't drop the Deathmarks, a good suicide killy unit has never hurt anyone. Excepting the people on the other side of the barrel. Out of curiousity, why the groups of 8 with the warriors?
Just happens to be how many warriors I have on hand at the moment lol (24 in total)
Gives me a little more shooty-ness and survivability, and room to throw a lord w/ res orb in them, with a cryptek, and get them in a Ghost arc next time I up my points.
Would you suggest a different squad size?

I take a squad of eight in a Ghost Ark, and then a squad of 15-20 outside it, the Ark keeps them running at full capacity. But then, I'm usually playing against GK, for a TAC army, I am definitely not the person to ask.
I run very very similar lists at 1500 and 1750. I find that it does reasonably well against many armies. Likely not a tournament winner, but it has a wide variety of tools available. Careful deployment is going to be crucial due to the amount of foot-slogging units.
I would suggest trading the two lords for three or four crypteks. I like to run as many 35pt eldritch lance crypteks as I can to increase the ranged firepower of my warrior squads.
My personal favorite combination, however, is to put a veil cryptek with my mss/orb/scythe overlord and sword/shield lychguards. It adds a mobile threat to the army.
The best advice I can give you is to not get too wrapped up with what you read online. Go out and play as many games as you can and learn the ins and outs of your army.

How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb?
-- Fifty-Four -- Eight to argue, one to get a continuance, one to object, one to demur, two to research precedents, one to dictate a letter, one to stipulate, five to turn in their time cards, one to depose, one to write interrogatories, two to settle, one to order a secretary to change the bulb, and twenty eight to bill for professional services.
I really like that idea with the Overlord, Lychguard and the Veil Cryptek, being able to have them and my deathmarks come in behind the force, and having a wall of shootiness could be quite good.
Grabbing a few more Crypteks for some firepower in trade for a lord, maybe two could be nice as well
Thank you for the advice, I dunno how many tournaments I'ma be going to in the near future (the majority of my games will likely be friendly play) so I'm sure i'll have plenty of time to experiment with the list.

I've had nothing but success with Lychguard. They are kinda like terminators, with one less armor save, with invulnerable saves, and can get back up after you kill them.

I've used Lychguard in one game. They did pretty well, they wiped out a squad of chaos marines without doing anything (dispersion shields FTW!) and went on to do more damage elsewhere. I like them.
Granted, they may not be included in most people's "competitive" lists, but I don't yet play competitively, just friendly games so far. They've been a very solid melee screen for my wall of shooters.
So far, the tactic of letting my opponent come to me, then counter-attacking from out of cover, has been effective. But I digress
Anyone have anything to say about swapping warriors for immortals in my list?

Warriors are best with phareon O'lords and Ghost arks, or to hide important crypteks in and use them as a meatshield, IMHO. Immortals are just GREAT but very costy. If I'm allowed to give you an advice, I think you geared your overlords just too much. They are good and so, but don't think they will actract the lots of fire you suppose. They move 6 and are quite a deathstar, but not capable of hindering someone's plans so much. If you're really willing of going into melee, I would switch for a destroyer lord (with some toys, ofc!) and a good group of wraiths with some whips and pistols. 3+ invulnerable is good, assaulting 18" is good, rending strikes are good.
Tbh, I think pratorians are much better than simple lichguards, and that wraiths are vast superior than pretorians. And, in the end, that we necrons are not meant to be a CC threat. Trying to do so is fun and maybe unexpected, but hardly capable of handing other deathstars and to be point competitive.
I will have to agree with Nix, you should drop some of the wargear from the Overlords and Lords. I personally think Orbs are too expensive in less then Max size squads. For instance, dropping the 3 Orbs would let you increase each of your warrior squads by 2 and leaving you with 20pts left over (12 + 8 from your initial list)
By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

I try to use my melee troops (as they were) defensively, as a screening force. Trying to get my opponent to come to me, have them just tie up their melee troops, and then shoot the crap outta everything else.
Hm, if I dropped the two regular lords completely I could grab 150 pts more of something or another.
Valid idea?
Automatically Appended Next Post: I originally took them for the orbs.
Maybe pick up a cardre' of crypteks?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Or a wing of wraiths?
Or a ghost arc, and a squad of immortals subbing in for a warrior squad

If you head that direction, I would add phaeron to the Overlord. For 20 points, it'll give you a unit that can deepstrike, run, and assault in the same turn. Definitely something unexpected from Necrons. I'm not sure if sword and boards are better than Warscythes in that configuration or not...

That strategy isn't working for me. Too many armies can just sit back and shoot at 24" and not worry too much about my gauss guns and the few longer range threats in a foot list. If you are running Necrons, you need to have very aggressive units in your army... Deepstriking Deathmarks, Scarabs, Wraiths, a CCBarge Lord, or a deepstriking Lychguard (which I LOVE the idea of). You also need to have a resilient core, large units of Warriors with a Res orb and/or Ghost Ark.

Hm, so I'm thinking
Drop one Lord completely
Pick up a Veiltek
Swap sword and board for warscythes, since hopefully they get right into assault.
Use excess points to beef up warrior squad.
