Subject: Mind or brain transfer?

Does the Imperium have a system of transferring one's brain or mind to someone or something else?
The thing is that I saw the new Fenrisian wolf models and I want integrate them into my guard army and I came up the following idea:
Gunnery Sargeant Harker conversion where I kitbash some tech bits and a heavy bolter onto the wolf to make it look all cyborgy similar to how Rex from Fallout New Vegas looked and say that the brain or mind once belonged to a veteran Sargeant who proved himself worthy and the techpriests that served alongside him did some illegal experiment to bring him back like that(it also fits with the fact that he's str 4)
I'm brainstorming other ideas right now; but would such make sense in the fluff?

It's possible to gradually (or perhaps not so gradually) implant your brain and organs into a mechanical body. Ship captains and Tech Priests often end up being fused to their Computers/Titans/Ships.
In terms of non-Imperial, the Dark Eldar can do just about anything with a guy you can think of and Ork Mad Doks have a dreaded surgery known as the Squig Brain Transfer.

In the old juvenat fluff your brain was basically inserted inside your clone when you got too old. Yack. I rather prefer the present solution with children.

Theres a character in the GK novel (dark mechanicus? I forget the title) who transplants himself into the 'system' of a forgeworld, and can assume control of servitors of what-not pretty much at his leisure. Automatically Appended Next Post: But to answer your question, I'd just use it as a counts-as model. Some kind of cyborg hound pet of the commander.

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?" |
