It's amazing for Canadians, I guess, but compared to the American price, it's only 12.8% off MSRP. Still noticeably more palatable than MSRP alone, of course.

Isn't it better as a Canadian to order from a US distributor at 20% off their retail price??? Most US distributors have very cheap shipping as well. Am I missing something?

When it crosses the border into Canada they ding you with a 22% tax on top of it.... So it sucks...

How much can you spend in the States before they Tax you when you cross back into Canada??? I grew up in Erie, PA and always saw buses loaded with Canadian shoppers at the mall since in PA we have no taxes on cloths.. I know that most of the Canadian shoppers wore old cloths and shoes... Threw them out when they bought new cloths and shoes.. Wore the new stuff when they crossed the boarder so they would not claim them..

After doing the math and you buy 1 hive tyrant and 1 tervigon kit from mini gaming you save a mere 25$ once shipping and taxes are included. Versus buying Directly from GW. 25$ is 25$ but it isn't that big of a savings when you really think about it. For Americans this is even worse because GW offers free shipping and their retail is far cheaper. That's just me.

Usually these big sales are a good time to take advantage of buying in bulk or starting a new army. Paying a 7.99 shipping charge is pennies when you are spending $200+

Also the only retailer from the states I've found that has the best deals is an ebay seller and even then, I break down how much I'm paying per model from him vs per model with MWG and in some cases MWG offers the better deal (I mean, 5x termagants for $9 CAD? why not...)

Lots of retailers list canada as "international shipping" and usually have a pay structure of $25 for orders 0-$100, then $35 for $101-200, $45 for $201-300 , etc so it doesnt always turn out better.

Besides, MWG is a fantastic resource for the table top community and I choose to support them

If the prices up in C Land suck as much as they do you would think that there would be an online retailer or an online brick and mortar like Warstore or MiniMarket in Canada by now giving flat 20-25% discounts all the time. If the excitement represent here is indicative of the community, I'm sure whoever did that would be a hit. Is there any legal or GW reason it hasn't been done?

The great thing about miniwargaming is that if you sign up to be a member, you get an additional 10% off the price, and free shipping on large orders. So that's 35% off MSRP and free shipping.

Oh, and in this case, those special boxed packs of troops + transport are also included in the sale... so if anyone in Canada was planning on picking up some troops and transports, that is definitely the way to go.

I just asked about free shipping and the only way to get it right now is to buy 15$ magnets. They DO NOT do free shipping on large orders according to the email response I got.
Heavy Support Games matches any price and beats the difference by 5%. And they actually have free shipping on orders over 150$.
