Only two troop choices. Never good idea, at least I think so. In addition, they are mostly on foot. I know one squad can go in the valk, but, guardsmen in the open are basicly dead too. I like the list, but, think you could get a another squad in there.

Drop the multi-melta sponsons off both demolishers: 60 points.
You have 5 points to spare: 5 points.
Drop the Standard: 15 points (i think, no codex handy).

that is 80 points. A penal legion squad would work well. They have scout and stuborn. Two good abilities the guard needs.

Think I might build this and just have some fun.

I know he's not for assault, but if you took Creed, make your Demolishers scouts and have them outflank. That would be brutal against any army.

And I agree with Martin, drop the Standard and with 5 points left over, you could have 3 melta guns in your CCS.

Over all, I like the idea of your list. It seems like it'd be quick. But I'm assuming you'll have your melta vets in the valk, your sniper vets and tanks moving forward and your sents outflanking or scouting. That leaves your CCS behind. Are they just walking behind the tanks? Also, who are they giving orders too? You might want to drop your vox network, it's not really needed on a list this small.
The multi-meltas are nice, but plasmas would be better, if not those, just go with heavy bolters. Your demolisher is already going to tear through the enemy.

Personally, I don't like fielding only one vehicle of a certain type, especially fast attack. if I were you, I'd ditch the Devildog and bring another Valk. They're usually priority targets and don't last long on their own (for me at least). If you want to move forward quickly and camp objectives, I'd suggest giving a vet squad a Chimera with heavy bolters rather than mounting them in a valk. I'm not sure how this would sit with you, or what models you happen to have in your collection.

Why are you bringing straken if you don't have much infantry? Are you dropping him in with the vendetta or something? Having him for a single vet squad and a penal legion squad seems like a waste of his abilities.

He's made more for either infiltrating with a couple of vet squads behind enemy lines using valkries, or walking up the board supporting some powerblobs. Maybe you can drop him and use the saved points to go towards another valkrie or vendetta?

He's not bad, its just that he seems like unnescessary until you get a way for him to make it into the fight with some infantry around him

THIS.

Straken is excellent if you are running a power blob as he gives all units within 12" furious charge and counter-attack. Pop a commissar (and/or a lord commissar close by) and power weapons in there and you have a hard to kill blob that is effective at counter-assault. My 40 man powerblob has killed assault terminators before using this strategy.

But as mentioned, why bother when you don't have any blobs? Unless you are dropping him in a valk.

You don't have an awful lot to hold objectives with. Vets will die quickly if trying to hold objectives without any support. They just don't have the manpower or saves. Penal legion i've never run because I don't see any use in them - expensive for +1 ld and they don't have special/heavy weapons options. They also die just like normal guardsmen.
I'd probably not bother with multi-melta sponsons on LR as that is a going to be a big waste of points if one shot takes it out. Use the points for more troop choices.

You are not adding the base 50 points of the compay command squad.

Edit: You are also 85 points short on your Leman Russes.

Double edit: You just mislabeled the totals on like 5 units, but it does add up to 1250.

Here is a new list. Thanks for all the critique! I am really changing my whole stategy now that you point it out. I don't think the tanks would fit in and straken would not work. I have decided to run a way different style, more of A line of Assaulting Guardsmen ment for close range firefights
