So kind of decided to go with an Exorcist Space Marine army and for the hell of it came up with the stats for this character for fun, C&C welcome

"Also known as Wielder of the Hellslayer and Keeper of Vigils, Silas Alberec is a mighty Space Marine whose Ogryn-like stature allows him to tower over even his fellow Astartes and who serves as the Captain of the 3rd Company of the Exorcists. Captain Alberec, who is also the heir-designate to become the next Chapter Master of the Exorcists, commanded a large force of Exorcist Astartes during the Chapter's involvement in the Badab War." - Warhammer Wikia

Not too shabby little bro, something isn't quite sitting right with me on this one, but I'm not sure what exactly...

Ah, his mace, DEFINITELY need to get that toned down pronto.

Just say no to god-mode mary sues.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Would not say God-mode, but still for 200 pts, this thing is just too good. Interceptors would make an awesome troops choice, and adding a formidable CC character is just too much. I agree with interceptor as troops; I always wanted that as well. However, only 200 pts would not cut the pain this guy could bring. Also, him making interceptors troops don't really fit in with the fluff.

First, Stormbolter counting as a pistol....... not exactly favorable. If he's so big that stormbolter is like a pistol, he should be an MC not an infantry character.... Also, +2 strength automatically? I'd rather take hammerhand stacking. At least I have the chance to negate that and there is a chance of you failing. AND it also rending and could ID most things and you get 4 attacks on charge, 3 normally when you have S5T5...... tough as a nail and deadly as a hammer.... he makes Draigo look not so cheesy. I would strongly suggest S4 T4 like a normal human being. If you want a primarch comparable character, at at least price him up. Also, one thing that does not make sense is how could this guy have a teleporter. The fluff states that even terminator armor is too big to go through the small Warp space, and if this guy is so big that normal power armor does not fit him. It doesn't make sense for him to have a teleporter.

I guess that's enough about stats and wargear.

Special rules...... nothing to really comment about (immense stature already covered) except for furious charge. I'm wondering why you have combat tactics on a IC but there might be reasons beyond my understanding. Nobody, and i meant nobody has furious charge in Grey Knight (inquisition yes.) so I don't know why you would try to give your self 5 attacks on charge and extra S. With 1 squad of normal guys and a libby, you could reach S 10 for all of your attacks. I think this is just being too greedy; This guys basically Hercules with teleporting abilities..... and he's also an independent character which makes it hard to rule him out in shooting and he gets 4+ invun and 3+ invun if a stormshield is taken..... just too good. Also, why don't you have any psykic abilities for this guy? He wouldn't be GK related (interceptors?) if he wasn't a psykic. I know you get extra S so hammerhand may be unnecessary for this guy, but as I've said, the mace is OP.

This character imho has more than Draigo, bordering on equivalence in abilities with Mephiston while having better saves, and invun, and meatshields to hide in.
Agreeing with Pariah, but not just the mace. This guy needs toning down, or bumping (at least X2) in points.

I don't know why people complain about GK so much... It's just a game, and nobody complains about Mephiston... So why complain about Draigo?

Okay, I made some changes but I think the S5 at least should stay since if he is comparable to an Ogryn and they're S5 and T5 then at least one stat should remain at S5

As for the psychic abilities, fluff states that Exorcists do not have a detectable psychic presence, so wouldn't he not be able to use any psychic powers?

As for the personal teleporter shebang, I always thought that the 3rd Company of many chapters were the fast companies like with CPT Khan and CPT Shrike (both captains of 3rd Co of their respective chapters), so that's why I gave him that so he could do that little shunt like the interceptors who are fast grey knights.

The smallest ogryn is larger than the biggest primarch. It is not believable for a modern Space Marine to be that big.

Well... compared to Imperial Armor 10

IA10's version

WS6
BS5
S5
T4
W3
I5
A3
Ld10
Sv3+

Unit Type: Infantry

Wargear:
Power Armor
Iron Halo
Hellslayer
Bolt Pistol
Frag and Krak Grenades
Teleport Homer

Special Rules:
And They Shall Know No Fear
Combat Tactics
IC
Soul Seared
Implacable Discipline

Hellslayer is a master crafted Thunder Hammer from which successful hits auto wounds daemons and psykers

Implacable Discipline: Allows space marines in army to reroll failed pinning tests and gives himself FNP

Soul Seared: Psychic powers directed at him, unit he's joined, and/or vehicle he is in are nullified on a 4+

Company Captain: Allows Space Marine Command Squad to be taken

155 points

Comparing statline, they're nigh identical except that IA's has higher BS and I

Wargear:
Armor of Titans = Power Armor w/ Iron Halo
Storm bolter > Bolt Pistol although Bolt pistol grant +1A in CC
Hellslayer (PB's) ~ Hellslayer (IA)
Frag and Krak Grenades (both have)
Personal Teleporter > Teleport Homer
Psyk out Grenades (PB only)
PB's beats out IA's

Special Rules
And They Shall Know No Fear (Both Have)
Combat Tactics (IA)
IC (Both have)
Soul Seared (IA)
Implacable Discipline (IA)
Preferred Enemy: Daemons (PB)
Company Captain (IA)
IA beats out PB

So I think vs IA's, Primal Blue's is probably okay at 200

@ KP Honestly I really don't think IA10's version you found is not exactly the fair example (kind of undercosted in my opinion) to compare this character to.
First, the armor give it 2+ , not 3+ like a power armor.
Also, Interceptors are much more deadlier as TROOPS. and this guy allows many of them..... It's like crowe but this guy's actually good at CC and other stuff let it be horde or elites or w/e. Only character wise, he'd be fine at 175-200. But adding interceptors as troops just tops the cake. I think 225-250 is a reasonable tax for interceptors.

@ PB, I agree with Eternal.... This guy is just too big (at least according to your comparison) The size would be actually comparable to a dreadnought height at least.... Since dreadknights can take personal teleporters and use it, if this character goes monstrous creature, I guess it'd be reasonable..... honestly, this is a space marine, not hulk..... S4 is a space marine, and S5 is a monster of CC (like Draigo or Mephiston who are extremely pricy and has almost no shooting capabilities). Also I would like to remind you of my point pertaining to fluff..... Teleporters are used by psykers (interceptors and dreadknights), not "normal" marines without psykic abilities.

I don't know why people complain about GK so much... It's just a game, and nobody complains about Mephiston... So why complain about Draigo?

Where are you getting the 2+ for Armor? and yeah I admit my 200 pt was probably too low but he has increased price to 250. Also Ogryn's come in between 8-10 feet tall I believe and Ogryns are infantry in IG codex already.

And I suppose if IA isn't giving him psyker powers then it's probably okay not to give PB's psyker powers

When I read it it said 2+.... and the point read 200. That was what I was commenting on.
And the issue i'm pointing out is pertaining to the personal teleporter. If building a character according to fluff, it has to match the fluff. IA's version does not carry a personal teleporter, but a teleport homer.

Teleport homer does not require psykic power because it's a beacon of sorts, but it says in the codex that the personal teleporter is a tool used with psykic power and also, since PB's version does not have psykic power, the wargear kind of does not apply to him.

Just give him normal hammerhand and psyker lvl 1. 250 with that seems reasonable, and drop S5 to S4. hammerhand should compensate for that +1S you want, and it's more fair since you don't automatically get it.... Let's not forget that this guy is a space marine, not Draigo.

In that case, thread over. This guy already has rules.

Oh, I didn't know this guy already got his own set of rules, in that case I'll lay off of him. (and maybe make up a character who pulls off the interceptor as troop)

In any case, thanks for the advice, I'm pretty new to 40k and guess I learn something new everyday like @purplefood pointing out 3rd company is an attack company and not the fast attack company I assumed it was.

I did, because the IA Silas has a teleport homer.
