I've been on holiday from work this week and was hoping to do a lot of painting(have a backlog of stuff to do, but alas! Due to the strong winds all week I've not managed to get any spraying done I'm left with a lot of time on my hands. So part of my holiday has been spent either tidying up models or reading. Anyway I've just finished Hammer and Anvil and just as I was about to return it to the bookshelf I had a look at the cover. This got me thinking. This may certainly be wishful thinking but; Could this image be a good insight into what these almost fabled plastic battle sisters may eventually look like? First evidence is that this sister is markedly different from the figure on the first sisters' book, which has more in common with how the metal sisters currently look. Yes I know some will say artistic licence and all that. But! All artists will have a very strict set of guidlines which they will have to adhere to, afterall, you can't have a sister look like a Tau for instance! So where did they get the design from?
I've always thought that plastic sisters would be a lot more lithe looking than the chunkier metal ones, probably as willowy as the current Eldar.
Yes again it is probably wishful thinking but hell, with nothing to paint it was a slow day! Cut me some slack!
Opinions?

I wouldn't compare BL covers to models ever Some folks were going bananas over what could have been the Stormraven on the cover of one of the Space Marine Battles books, but it was just a generic dropship in the artist's style. It's probably just how he pictured them looking. I wouldn't read into it at all.

Brother SRM, You're probably right. It was just that design was different to what the sisters normally look like and I thought 'If that is the new design I like it!'. It is very streamlined and an army of them would look good on the battlefield, who cares if the big problem is the capes? They can keep 'em!
As I said it has been a very slow day...
