so i am debatting between starting a Retribution of Scyrah army or a cryx army

I was wondering if this was a decent list

Ravyn
Phoenix
Houseguard Rifle Team
2x Ghost snipers
House Shyeel Artificer

Basically the artificer sits in the back and gives the rifle team and snipers higher def and immunity to blast damage
Ravyn gives sniper to Rifle team and a sniper turn one. turn two other sniper gets sniper lol
Phoenix sits next to them and shoots till the enemy is close. then when they close enough he charges in and starts killing things, hopefully
oh and when he gets close enough pop the feat and just decimate stuff

So what do you think?

oh and i primarily play khador or trollbloods if that is any help

I think Ravyn wants Discordia more than a Phoenix. She really doesn't have that much to Arc thought it

Since Snipe is an upkeep, both can get it on turn 2 and after by upkeeping it on the first and cycling it to the other after the first has activated.

I think Trolls may give you some grief because of tough. Khador is also going to be problematic if they go jack heavy or have an iron flesh caster with Kayazy or WGI. Do you play scenario or mainly just caster kill?

we play mostly kill the caster
oh and my friend either plays Jack heavy (thats why i have rifle team and two snipers to mess up his jacks)
for armor piercing and snipers that

this would hopefully be the start of a bigger army, so it is meant to be able to shoot most things to death....Maybe?
and as to discordia over Phoenix... why? besides the fact that it has a bit stronger weapons it doesn't have an AoE, Phoenix, and my army is seriously lacking in that plus Phoenix Field giving d6 force field back sounds AWESOME

i admit trolls would be difficult but hopefully i will be able to out range them and shoot them to death before they get too close, then charge in with phoenix to finish something off, i hope

10 inch magical spray when retribution as a faction has issues dealing with stealth. Something your list will have trouble with.

I will definatly try it out.

As a side note besides Discordia is there a good way to deal with stealthed models?

AoE scatters, charge them, run to them to pin them down, throws, slams, etc. Stuff that either locks them down or bypasses the targetting rules.
