Hello

I was just wondering about GW return policy, I heard that as long as the product is sealed that they will take it back without receipt, is that correct?, also do they take back older models, because I have the older version of the fire prism with the metal crystal instead of the plastic.

Thanks

The last time I had to take something back like that it was accepted, though it was through the local hobby shop instead of a GW, but I have had complaints or errors in manufacturing and they sent me replacement parts without needing the receipt. So most likely they will take it back, especially if its still sealed.

They won't accept the old model at all I'm afraid.

If it's the current version and still shrinkwrapped you should have no problem.

As a few folks stated.
GW will not take back the older edition models. You may want to look at Ebay for that.

They will return the boxes with plastic or blisters as long as the bar code is not "x" over or cut through. Independent shops sometimes do that. They prefer it to be in shrink wrap with at least a GW receipt. Sometimes after the holidays they will allow you to exchange for a similar item without a receipt. Basically if you wanted marines but you got orks, that kind of thing.

Also, I don't think they ever "have to" take things back if they are shrink wrapped. I think some stores may request a receipt, or suggest you may exhange but not return

Easy answer: Phone them and ask.

I did this and returned a still sealed Mines of Moria box game last month for store credit, it's real handy.
