Subject: Question about Orikan the Diviner and Ctan Special Rule Combination.

Hi,
This is a question involving Necrons and two special rules. If the Necrons purchase a Ctan with Writhing Worldscape then the enemy counts difficult terrain as dangerous. If the Necrons also bring Orikan the Diviner his Temporal Snares rule cause the enemy to move as it is in difficult terrain the first turn. So would these rules work together?
So does that mean that on the first turn my opponent would count as moving through difficult and dangerous terrain with his entire army?

I have seen someone bring up an interesting argument.
necron codex pg 57 Orikan
"Temporal Snares During the first turn game turn, all enemy units that move count as moving through difficult terrain. If they are actually moving through difficult terrain, then the unit can move the lowest d6 result of their difficult terrain test, rather than the highest." Paraphrase first turn enemy movement difficult terrain test.
Necron codex pg 41 writhing worldscape
" Whilest the C'tan shard is on the battlefield, all difficult terrain is also dangerous for the enemy. If the terrain is already dangerous, the dangerous terrain test is failed on a 1 or 2."
Just because you count as moving through difficult terrain doesn't mean it is difficult terrain just the way you move. I underlined the key words for this. So it would never be all round 1 and 2.

Q: Does Writhing Worldscape cause every model moving through difficult terrain, moving as if in difficult terrain and counting as moving through difficult terrain to take a Dangerous Terrain test? (p41)
A: Yes. For example a unit hit by a tremor stave would have to take Dangerous Terrain tests if they moved in the following turn, as would any unit moving in the first turn of the game if their opponent had Orikan the Diviner.

I actually looked that up and didnt see how it applied but it includes the counting as. Missed that before. Thanks
