Okay, I've read every HH black library EXCEPT, mechanicum.
i'Ve got Thousand Sons on audio, listening to it while I paint. Read all the rest, on the one with assassins (not sure what it's called).
It seems like they skipped the one revolving around the drop site masecres. Heard the audio books, the one about the raven guard KINDA covered it, but not to the extent I would have expected.
Am I missing something?

I agree with Cortez667. It is in Fulgrim but it's in the last few chapters and not in much detail. The only other take on it is the raven guard audio book which he mentioned.
In comparison Istvaan 3 got tons of coverage in the novels.

I disagree. Some hugely popular war novels like black hawk down or bravo two zero take place in similar time periods. Plus there are a huge number of perspectives to cover.

Ravens Flight (aduio book) contains a lot of info about the dropsite massacre. Its worth a listen.
