The Restrictions I Put On My Tallarn Lists:
- Missile Launchers are the only HW teams allowed in Infantry Squads.
- All units able to take the FW Desert Raider special rule, must take it in lists of 750 points or more.
- 1 unit of 10 Rough Riders is required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- 2 units of Mukaali Rough Riders are required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- No vehicles besides Chimera Armoured Transports and Hydra Flak Tank Batteries are allowed.
- Al'Rahem is required in lists of 1000 points or more. |

There was an article on this very subject on the GW site but, of course, that's gone/down now, presumably due to the forthcoming changes to the paint range.

which says that the Dec 2008 WD had the initial blurb t'would seem.

I'm sure I remember seeing something of the sort in one of the old WDs... (Y'know, back when they actually had content  ) I'll have a dig through when I get home from work after...
red8n: I'm sure this was long before 2008... I would hazard a guess at 2005 - when the army book was last updated I believe. I'll be honest, I have little interest in WHFB so I didn't even know Lizardmen had been updated more recently

Would that have been the old Stegadon model ?
IIRC the current plastic kit was released with the current army book was it not ...?

There was a WD article of how to build and paint a new edition stegadon. I do not recall the WD issues number, however from memory its actually the one with the Stegadon on the cover. I remember it as I was actually impressed by the how to article in the age of really horrendous modeling and painting articles from WD lately.

I kept up WIP shots for the Golden Demon (plastic, current) Stegadon I did. Really pretty simple paintjob, albeit a bit tedious doing the scales.

Erm, it was just sticking the throne from the Slann on the steg's howdah. Not cutting whatsoever and barely a conversion at all. A little GS to hide the join, that's all. Part of the reason I chose to do that piece was that it'd be quick.
