War Walker Pilot with Withering Fire

Has anyone ever found their models they sold off online back online again? It's like reuniting with an old friend ...
I sold my old 4000 pt Eldar army off in bits last summer ... and there's my old War Walkers heading out again! I thought I had an Ulthwe Eldar army, not a bunch of Outcasts & Pathfinders ... LOL. It makes me wonder what journeys and wars the models have been on, what's been repainted, destroyed for conversions, or hailed major victories and won grand tournaments. Or, just sat off in someone's closet or bits box, neglected and alone.

Wow talk about ironic
Its a little funny that you actually manage to find the item you sold.
Were you actually looking at buying some eldar walkers when you found your old ones?

I am re-collecting Eldar now, doing Alaitoc instead of Ulthwe, (Simply due to preference of paint scheme) and painting my models to a much higher standard. I am EVENTUALLY looking to get another War Walker Squadron of 3, but I can't afford to buy now. Plus, I would rather get infantry used (I find them easier to clean/recondition), but get vehicles new, I rather assemble and paint them myself.
I want those Walkers to go somewhere they will be appreciated, to add into a force somewhere as-is, not back into my hands. Although I do have the choice to not only get that squad back, but also an old Falcon the seller's also re-selling, but that was a real clunker I was glad to get rid of. I used lumply old paint that I couldn't sand off, the top turret was plastic welded into an angled position (can't separate it without ruining the model), and at the time I hated the 3 Jetbikes that came with the old battleforce, so I destroyed them and used their canopies as engine upgrades on my Falcon.
Ridding yourself of old models can be liberating, you're no longer tethered to your old ways, and can start fresh.

I sometimes wonder what happened to my Scythes of the Emperor. Sold a Land raider crusader, Land raider, two Termie squads, lots of marines, Rhinos, Predator, Land Speeders and Bikes ages back. About 2004-2005.
They where brought by two fellas in the US if I remember correctly. One got the Termies and Raiders, the other got everything else.
Was the first time I fully painted an army since before 2000, and I still like them as a chapter.
Oh and my Chaos Goblins, converted a load of Goblins for Warhammer quest, including fanatics which where drug enduced warpclaw wielding maniacs. Fun times.

I know exactly how you feel, but I'm still too attached to my first-army eldar to sell them. Thankfully, I used to paint Ulthwé, so my painting was pretty much spraying and adding some gold and red bits. Repainting won't be too bad, so that's where I'm going. Keeping my character models as they are though, those guys have got such a long history.

I try not to sell the stuff I paint. I put tons of time into something, I'm not going to just get rid of it for a couple bucks! However, I've seen battle reports with some of my commission paintjobs and that always warms my heart.

I do have a question for the person selling them, Why is the fact your home is non-smoking and no pets relavent to the sale of the war walkers?

I've been trying to learn of what happened to my Necrons for a long time now... Sold them back in 07 or 08 IIRC to a canadian. I know they were repainted which makes it problematic, but the basing on some of the models (assuming they weren't rebased) would make it easy to ID.
