It was my understanding that walkers can no longer pivot while immobilised, since there's no reason why they'd be able to. But my opponent (something of a WAAC) insisted that they can.
The rules seem pretty clear to me (immobilised=cannot pivot) but I want to make sure.

I'm pretty sure it is stated in the rulebook under the vehicle or damage chart rules that a vehicle, including a walker, can't pivot if it's immobilized.

No, they can't pivot.

They are stuck with the arc for their guns that they have when their legs were blown off.

The immobilised result on the damage chart quite specifically says that they can not.

Walkers are hosed if immobilized. only a 45 deg arc.

Maybe he is getting confused with the "always face front " capability in assaults for walkers, immobilised or not ?
