This Is Where the Fish Lives

SM Chaplain I recently completed. I am new to they hobby (only been painting for about a month) and this is the sixth mini I've painted. Any tips on what to improve would be much appreciated!

Nice work. I'm not a huge fan of this sculpt, but you've done a great job painting it! Did you add the rock to the base, or did it come with it?

Over all it looks good. Personally it looks like the brass paint was a little to thick. Add some wash tot he weapons handle. Maybe a dark red. And try and highlight the black armor a little,. with a darker grey. It helps to pull out the armor plates. Also the silver looks like it came out a little heavy, This could just be me, but if they are thick, thin them down a lot more. It might just be the primer you used. Other than that and the light turning the picture yellow, I think you are on the right track. Keep it up, maybe post a picture or the rear of the model. The jump pack on that model as alot of detail we can't see from this view.

I agree, the gold/brass paint is too thick, esp. on the bolt pistol and Crozius. Otherwise, a very nice job. If this is what you get after 6 minis, your whole army is going to look great!!!!

I'm not a fan of the model from GW itself (something about the "super hero jump pose") but you sir, did a great job with it! Keep it up.
