We're still all in on Version 3! This is another crunchy episode as we discuss more rules clarifications, and our real world experiences with the latest revision of Flames of War!

I may be crazy, but what iTunes downloaded as Episode 32 seems to be a repeat of Episode 30. Is this a known issue?

(It's primarily the interview with Mike from BF.)

Yes -- if you check the WWPD site and/or Forums, Steven tells you how to fix it.

We don't know what happened, but it should be resolved now.

By the way, now that I've lsitened to 32, I notice you mention an issue with declaring terrain from your collection. An idea I've seen used for this issue, borrowed from (I believe) the D6 Generation crew, is to make some sort of 'card' for each terrain piece.

I've been meaning to try laying this out in InDesign and making a PDF to share, but basically have a card somewhat like a M:tG card: Title and image at top, then below some data about the terrain piece. Data would vary by system, and might have options as appropriate.

For FoW I'd guess (Not an expert on FoW, since I've never played it...) you'd want to note if it's linear or area terrain, what kind of cover it provides, etc. For bigger pieces, might include a diagram (to note how the 'factory' piece is actually a 'Factory' open area and two linked buildings, etc.

By options, I mean that you might note that many game systems have 'shallow' and 'deep' water, and a river could be either.

The cards are useful for more than just tracking the terrain's game effects, too: You can use it as a randomizer. Pull cards from the terrain deck to build a scenario, or pull cards for objectives (Although I think FoW actually defines 'objectives' with rules on how to represent them using standard bases)), special scenario rules, etc.

I know a few of the WWPD guys have mentioned having enough painted minis to be able to randomly select lists to make things fun... This would be a way to extend it to terrain.
