After re-reading the North Africa book, I decided to write up a couple Italian lists for future purchases.

I would suggest using the last 15 pts. to get an observer rifle team for the Howitzer Battery, as it does not come with one.

You might also want to consider swapping out one of the Carri Platoons for a Semovente 75/18 Platoon (1 Carro Commando w/ 4 75/18s= 320 pts.).
As you have probably noticed, the M14/41 are nearly useless against medium tanks in mid-war, with an anti-tank of 7. The Semoventes, on the other hand, have an anti tank of 9, and also front armour 4 instead of 3. This would give the list some much needed anti-tank fire power (the Lancias are great, but they die quickly).

Other than that, it seems like a good list.


Edit: Also, not trying to sound rude but, why are you making 1850 pt. lists? the standard point value for games of FoW tends to be 1500, 1750, or 2000. just curious.

I've never played with or against an Italian army.

Something along these lines then? And to answer your question I made this an 1850 point list as I play a lot of warhammer at that points level, and as a result most of the people I know who I play FoW with enjoy it as a points total, even if it is out of the box

I typically use my Semovente 75/18's equipped with AA MG's to guard against infantry assaults. Though I try to keep them back for long-range fire support.

With the M14/41's twin hull mg and co-ax mg, that should be plenty of shots (5) to hose enemy infantry and gun-teams; maybe drop the AA MG's and use improvised armor instead? (maybe your group uses alot of air power?)

I run Bersaglieri myself, so in my lists, when I do use a Carri platoon, I try including Demolishers (Guastatori) with to support them. I do use the Skoda 100/17 howitzers with observer for heavy bombardments, but I've found mortars with smoke or the 75/27 canon battery with smoke and direct AT punch is still decent. I love the Lancias, and they're always a mainstay in my army for the most part lol!

Since your Carri list is rated as Elite under the 8MB rule, just don't roll a 1 or 2 lol!
