I only played split-screen for about two hours, but I really enjoyed it...the only problem I have is that it plays the exact same as all the others, and I got bored after a while

I'm assuming the "campaign" is pretty good?

Its fun, and hard, up till dollface, shes broken i think, its a 3 part fight and she can kite you. I havent beaten story yet because of her.

Ive been half thinking about selling my ps3 and getting an xbox again, but i can never make up my mind, wish i was rich enough to have both.

Reasons I won't:

Don't like PS controllers, blue rays... couldn't care less, never watch movies at home. And 95% of my friends play on XBL.

I haven't got a chance to play it yet but I will soon. I got to play Mass Effect 3 first.

I hear the online part is pretty awesome. A lot like warhawk but with cars instead.

For people that have played the game, what's the single player like? I wouldn't mind grabbing it to do some multiplayer shenanigans with my fiancee, but I'd want it to have decent single player as well.

I have to say I'm very disappointed that there are only three characters for story mode. I mean, three? Seriously? What about all the other great characters TM brought us?
But yeah, the game is a whole lot of fun.

Only 3 endings? Awww. C'mon, twisted metal is ALWAYS about the seriously screwed up endings....Bwah ha ha ha ha!

I was reading an Article that said that the Dev's considered the Vehicles their "Characters", not so much their humans.

Just another way to cut down on content. I saw a similar quote for Mass Effect 3 and the reason why there is less characters. They cut down the roster to focus on a more detailed roleplaying experience with the smaller cast.

That I don't mind-- cutting extra characters for more detailed roleplaying is fine for a game like ME. But with Twisted Metal? You get the same amount of cutscenes you had in previous games, but with only three characters. Twisted Metal is not a roleplaying game by any standard, but the endings were still one of the best things about the game. Seeing the way Calypso twisted their wishes was always priceless.

Definitely a problem for me. I play video games so I don't have to interact with people.

Twisted metal always was a multiplayer game IMO, I didn't know it had any story whatsoever.

Does it feature Rob Zombie's Super Beast?

It's something you'll keep seeing. It's just plain cheaper to make content for multiplayer. This is also why DLC tends to be for multipler.
