Here is one of my Long Fangs I just finished up. Let me know what you guys think. Not completely satisfied with the snow flock. I try to do a 1:1:1 ratio of flock, glue, and water but it never comes out the way I like it. Constructive criticism is appreciated.

Looks like there could be more room for colour if he's a space wolf.

I like the detail on the hair and face in particular. Also I love your avatar image... Is there anywhere to find a larger version of it.

Yeah i agree, purely from a fluff perspective, Long fangs are supposed to be space wolf vets, so i'd imagine there might be a little more ornamentation on their armor. He still looks great though, the hair and face look sweet.

I definitely agree. Just put him together with spare SM bits. Ran out of SW legs/torsos but I will consider doing some free hand and possibly some armor weathering.

I think the old Black and Red Triangles could be resurrected nicely on this model.



The Black and red Triangles were a feature on Space Wolves in the Early years, you don't really see them anymore?

White and black triangles were for the long fangs, red and black for troops and yellow and red for blood claws! :-)

I think the black and red triangles were for either grey hunters or bloodclaws I cant remember which but I would consider leaving one pad white and maybe doing something different on the other just to make him look a bit more ornamental and veteran-y

Grey Hunters had the red and black dags. I like the look it gives to the army overall when it's done,. I'd like to see the black and white ones on this model as it's beautifully painted and that face is very nicely done! I know it's sometimes hard to keep adding paint when they look so good! :-)

As a fellow SW painter. Nicely done!

Face came out very well and the higlights very subtle.

If you are looking to add a little something I have a habit of painting the chain-links in the ammo belt with dwarven bronze. Gives a brassy look and serves as a form of highlight for the ammo belt.

blood claws are red and yellow, grey hunters are red and black, long fangs are black and white, wolf guard are yellow and black

I, for one, really appreciate a simple and clean scheme.
