Hi,

I have a local tourney coming up, and I wanted to try something a little different than I usually run. I would love to hear what the Dakkers think:

HQ

CCS, OotF, Lascannon 100

1st Platoon 270
PCS, 4x Flamer
Squad, AC, Commissar
Squad, AC, Melta Bombs
Squad, AC

2nd Platoon 160
PCS, 4x GL
Squad, Melta Bombs
Squad, Melta Bombs

2x Vets 310
3x MeltaGuns, Chimera

Vets 170
3x Plasma, Chimera

2x LRBT w/LC 330
Manticore

Total 1500

It's more infantry than I usually run. Platoon 1 will likely blob up and hold objective, or be a tough KP. Platoon 2 will speed bump, bubble wrap, or hold a second objective. Vets will go after AV14, MEQ, and objectives. Tanks and Manticore will blow stuff up as needed. I find that in tournaments the Officer of the Fleet can be a godsend, so I want him. I feel low on anti-tank, so that is why the LRBT's have the lascannons, which I know are not a perfect fit. But my lone vendetta always gets shot down, so I'm trying a list without it.

I would recommend PW for everyone that can take them, getting a commissar in the 2nd blob squad, and getting melta guns or some special weapons in the blobs.

The LC's on the russes are not adviced, its 2 different types of targets youll have to choose to shoot each turn(tanks and infantry)

Maybe try bring a HWS with lascannons?

And yes, lone vendettas are not the best, they are much better with 2. But if you do bring one, move it the 24", get the 4+ save, and use it like a bullet magnet. If all of your opponents antitank is going for the vendetta the LR's and manticore survive another turn.

Not a fan of flamers in a pcs. You could drop them, -20 points, and add an auto cannon or lascannon, with 5 or 10 extra points. Your pcs shouldn't move too much.
