Here are some Sanguinary Guard from the Angels Encarmine that I painted up a little while ago.

I don't know that there's a whole lot else to add, so here they are:

Very good looking. Striking models and the Dante base is over the top delicious.

My only complaint is that Dante is a bit darker and more grey (less white) than the sang guard, and he kind of sticks out in a way he shouldn't. It might just be that he's got a close up and the other don't though.

It's spelled "cavalry." NOT "calvary."

I like how they look carved from marble. Most of the Sanguinary Guard I see are painted gold, and it ends up looking less than spectacular.

Angels Encarmine are the only successor chapter that doesn't follow the normal BA in making DC black and Sanguinary's gold, but instead makes both white

Very nice! The gold on the wings and jump packs is really really nice!

I was going to leave a really stupid comment and ask how you painted the little purple dude in the lower-corner and whether he was for scale purposes...

I am not ready for the interwebz this morning, it seems.

These guys are freaky looking. And that's in a good way. I agree they are marble-esque, a little unsettling to look at, like there's something otherwordly about them. Very powerful painting!

Ah, angels encarmine. The best kind of encarmine there is.

I agree, I wasn't sure if the white sanguinary guard could look good but now I see some white ones and they do look pretty cool. Kind of like ancient Greek statuary.

Great job. The white is a refreshing change from the spray painted gold. The shoulder pads look clean and well done. And the brass on the weapons, It keeps the over all model toned down. I think you went with the best option on it. The basing is great. Good job man, Its hard to see any problems with this paint job. Keep it up and upload more pics of the rest of the army.

Thanks.

When I was painting them, I noticed that the faces looked especially creepy in the white in ways that they really didn't in the gold.

And I only used the death mask faces on these, so that went a long way.
