Unusually for me, there is no tournament in mind for this army just yet, although have used a version of it @ Throne of Skulls @1750 and it pushed some faces in. All i've really added is the terminators, as i've never been one to use terminators (and therefore LR's) and wanted to experiment

Why, for the love of Slannesh, are you throwing away the benifit of the IoS on those Terminators by giving some of them fists? Your also screwing yourself by mixing assault and shooty. Do one or the other...and if your doing Assault, you /need/ a LR so you can, you know, actually charge the enemy.

I see no IoCG on the Havocs... now you risk them running off the board.

Possessed are still not worth it.

Lash rules for you to remember... copied from the GW site. To be honest, with your list, I do not see the Lash as worth it.

Q: Is Lash of Submission a Psychic Shooting Attack and
must it roll To Hit? (p88)
A: Yes to both questions. Note that if it misses, it will
have no effect.

Q: Can Lash of Submission be used to move the target
into range of other weapons in the unit? (p88)
A: No. Every shooting attack in the unit is resolved
simultaeously.

Q. Can a unit be affected by Lash of Submission more
than once in the same turn? (p88)
A. Yes.

Q. Can you use Lash of Submission to move models
around within a unit and re-arrange them? Can models
be moved out of unit coherency? Can a unit be moved
out of combat? If a unit is moved into dangerous
terrain, do they have to test? If jump infantry are
moved, are they assumed to be using their packs or
walking? Can a unit be shoved right off the table, or
into impassable terrain? (p88)
A. The move created by this power is executed exactly
like a normal move, except that it’s not slowed by
difficult terrain. It follows that, for example:
• the 2D6" distance rolled is the unit’s maximum
move, as normal, and models in the unit can move up
to that distance or less.
• models cannot be moved out of coherency.
• units cannot be moved out of combat.
• dangerous terrain tests must be taken as
normal.
• jump infantry may choose to move either with
their packs or on foot (moving player’s choice).
• units cannot enter impassable terrain, leave
the table or be moved closer than 1" to enemy models.

I still do not like using the Greater Demon because it costs you a champ and every Champ you have has wargear. If your going to use a GD, take naked champs... because you do not choose when he comes in. You just choose what champ you sacrifice. And remember (since you have Chosen), if you come in from Reserve the same round as the GD, you can't use those Champs for the GD...so with Chosen and terminators possibly coming in from Reserve, you have two champs on the board...and if they get killed before your GD comes in, you lose the GD.

Your troops (and thus scoring potential) are pretty damn weak at 2000pts. 2/3s of the battles are objective games, and your opponent needs to kill 18 marines to keep you from winning.

Been playing 40k on and off since 89.

In my 1750 variation I had an IofCG on the havocs but dropped it to squeeze in more toys on the termies . its a fair point though so may try and get it back in

The chosen champion does not have any upgraded wargear, and is the target for my GD. I tend to ride up the middlle with the chosen rhino behind the other two so they can plasma the face of a nasty unit when the time is right, so can usually preserve them to get the GD into position. Take your point though, its defo better for two options, but then essentially your making the GD cost 143 pts minimum if you take two champs for him, plus missing out on kitting out another champ for his actual role.

Termies do not need a land raider. CSM LR's are terrible. The kitout i put up has a lot of shooting ability i feel if they deepstrike, and if they don't then yeah they may have a problem or two, but dependent on a good lash session should be in combat by turn 2 (if they still live haha). Also, those termies kick out 9 LC and 6 PW attacks at I5, i dont think thats too bad. and having a PF and CF to deal with a dreadnought is a good idea. I was tempted by the all slaanesh LC unit, but what happens when a dread comes to smash their faces in?

I hear you on the possessed but I can almost always get a first turn charge in combination with lash, and if they get a 1 on their daemonkin - generally regarded as the worst - then as they have a rhino they scout in the rhino, so its almost guarenteed (aside from DOW). Also applies with fleet.

I appreciate the feedback, but i am well aware of the lash FAQ. Also, I tend to find that people think that mass obits or vindicators are needed to make lash work, but lash is great for hauling stuff towards combat nasties and thats the plan here.

Yeah the troops are pretty minimal. The shooty NM squad hang back with the havocs and the Defiler babysits them and fires the battlecannon at lashed stuff, then charges anything that comes near. the on-foot doom siren squad advance behind the rhinos or take the chosen rhino if they infiltrate. I know 3 small units of troops are limited, but I still beat a GK player 3 -0 on onjectives at Throne in sieze ground in my last game on table 5. It should be easy to kill 3 troops, but most of the time my opponent is focusing on trying to kill the DP's, chosen and possessed before they kill him
