Hey guys and gals I was kinda kicking this goofy idea around some: What music would fit each army in 40k (like what would fit a montage of each army)? Or even what would they listen too? It can be as indepth or as broad as you want. Such as:
Chaos Space Marines
Montage music: Metal
Listen too: Hatebreed or Disturbed
Or specific:
Nurgle Marines
Montage music: Metal/hard rock
Listen too: Rob Zombie
Like I said just kinda goofy but thought it would be fun. You can bring fluff into it if you want just don't pull a: " ________ wouldn't listen to music because of xyz". Just assume that all of the armies listen to music or at least blare it from speakers as they charge into battle and that we are using music now and they haven't made up their own music. Hope this will make a fun thread and I think the more specific the more fun it will be

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Subject: Re:What music would match which 40k army?
I find it odd that people suggest a lot of rock and metal as 40k is a very religious place. Imagine if you took the best rock song ever and replaced one of the lotr's songs with it. Wouldn't that sound out of place?
Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.
David Bowie- Noise Marines (outrageously catchy, glittery, shiny and glam)
Gil Scott Heron- Thousand Sons (tThe thinking man's music....)
Neil Young- Deatn Guard (All of his music sounds the same. Stagnant, depressing, pervasive... hehe)
Megadeth- World Eaters (fast, brutal and just plain old cool)

I like to think of Chaos as being more hardcore than Disturbed Why no mention of GWAR? Hell I think they mention Slaanesh and Tzeench specifically in some of their songs
I personally think that Electric Wizard is a bit of a catch-all for any 40k side. With the exception of Tau and Eldar, where the Carpenters would probably suffice.
Mind you, if you want to represent Chaos via music, either good old free form Jazz, The Dillinger Escape Plan, or any of Mike Patton's side projects would fit!
