Pokemon is a good intro RPG, follow it up with Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy anything... I may be a bad person to ask due to my love of RPGs

She likes adventure games apparently, so try a Zelda game?

My wife likes an RPG series called Harvest Moon.
She and I play a series called Professor Layton together - they're puzzle solving games with a little story behind them.

Harvest Moon is awesome! I mean, uhh, totally girly and, erm... I really can't dig myself any further than I already have done, so might as well go for broke... I love the games and recommend getting them. But yeah, like Mel said she seems to have an interest in adventure games, so LoZ games are a natural go-to series.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I totally forgot about Harvest moon, she'll probably love those.
Prof. Layton is also a great idea, I'll definately pick that one up.
@mel and shrike...yeah I would love to get her into some good RPGs but she doesn't like any Zelda games she's played and I doubt she'd be into chrono trigger or FF, shes watched me play about all of Chrono Cross and FFX and got burnt out on "story telling games" as she calls them.
She's more into puzzle/rpg games i guess, which i tell her Zelda is but gah....

Puzzle game with Mario and Donkey Kong, as the title subtly suggests.

Any of the mario party games are a blast, and you two can play against one another. The wife and I used to play the hell out of our copy. And Ill 2nd some pokemon games. My wife got hooked on one of mine, as we ended up buying pearl and diamond together to play together. Its an easy way in.
Or cooking mama, but that game kindda burns out fast IMO
