So we always see these "What's the craziest thing your units have ever done" threads, but I always notice one guy who keeps popping up in every one. Sly. Fething. Marbo. So I figured we could share stories about hilarious/awesome things he's pulled in our games (either for, or against us) and show why he's the awesomest 65pts a guard player can ever field

So far, I've only used him 5 times, but each time was great.

First game I ever used him, he wiped an entire squad of immortals in a single demo charge blast, before taking on a Necron Lord in one on one combat and tying him up for 3 rounds (he died from a lucky shot turn 5).

3rd game I used him in, he managed to infiltrate right inbetween two squads of my opponent and blast an entire unit of pysker's before being blown to kingdom come (took roughly 500pts worth of shooting to take him out though!).

In my 4th game, he took out an entire 5 man squad of terminators all on his own, the first 2 with a demo charge, before the rest moved up the building to assault him. However, my opponent forgot to assault that turn (he was too busy killing my entire army) and left the terminators idly shuffling their feet about 3 inches away. Marbo popped one in the head with his pistol, before charging in and stabbing the other 2 to death with his combat knife. What made this even better was that Straken was on the opposite side of the board wiping another termie squad at the same time. The black templar player was not happy (he still tabled me though )

However the two funniest things I've ever seen him do happened in my second game, against another IG player. We were both using Marbo, and he failed spectacularly for both of us. For me, he popped in 2nd turn, and had an easy shot a 30 man blob of guardsmen. One demo charge, and they would be completely annihilated. Roll for scatter, and it moves back 3 inches, hits only 3 guardsmen, and Marbo himself. 4 rolls to wound later, and there's one dead guardsman, and his name was Marbo (all the regular guardsmen made cover saves!!!!) However, my opponent managed to one up me. He rolls for reserves same turn, and pulls in 2 storm trooper squads and marbo. However, both of us forgot to put him on the board, and it wasn't until after the game when the TO walked by that we figured it out. He was recording our results for the tourny, and asked my opponent how his Marbo did... to which my opponent replied "OH CRAP! I FORGOT MARBO!" It's become a running joke in our store, and is probably the only reason I managed to tie that game

My Marbo usually just whiffs his demo charge and dies the next turn.

My opponent got his Marbo right in the prime position to chuck his demo charge on a squad of Sternguard vets when he tripped and dropped the bomb on himself.

I've used Marbo once. He took out a 5 man tremie squad with his dome charge then died the next turn. I'm afraid to use him again because I know he will whiff.

I've used him three times, only the first time being successful.

It was against the same Tau player, so he obviously decided that he was one of those units that needed to die as soon as he showed up.

Anyway, he showed up behind my opponents broadside line, threw his demo charge, and killed four of the five of them. Then managed to shrug off the minimal amounts of firepower thrown at him, and charged the nearby hammerhead. Blew that thing sky high. In a lucky turn of events, he survived the next round and assaulted my opponents crisis commander. Killing him after two turns.

From that point on he was killed every time he showed up.
