I had custom made my ten rough riders using a couple of different boxed sets. The one I used for the actual horses is the Warhammer Empire Pistoleers. That being said, my riders are using the squared off cavalry bases instead of the rounded 40k biker/cavalry bases.

I hadn't thought of this before, but am I breaking the rules using these instead of the 40k ones?

Cavalry models in 40K came with the rectangular bases for a couple of decades before the pill-bases were released. Nobody will even question it.

Neither WHFB nor 40k specifies a particular shape or size of base for various units.

Cavalry models (as noted by the cat) have come on rectangular 25x50mm bases for 40k for decades. Until they come on bike bases (and GW specify that cavalry MUST use them) the regular cavalry bases are fine.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
