so first off this is my first list that i have posted on this site but im not entirely new to the tau. I am fully open to all critisim and would like to see what everyone thinks.

So the basic tactica is to use the broadsides as a sort of "anvil" with two "hammers" consisting of a hammerhead and some of the battle suits. The three devilfish with firewarriors are the cleaners or finishers and are used turn five to snach objectives. The one piranha it there to just dart around and be annoying maby get lucky and blow up a tank or two with some luck from the dice gods. i use my hammerheads as a screen for the fireknife suits and i run the full hq squad to take advantage of the ablity to up their BS due to the lack of markerlights. the death rains and fireknifes all try to focus fire on the enemies mobility to makes sure i am the fastes person on the table.

Any ideas are much welcomed.

You are taking Overpriced Bodyguard so you can take a HWMT so you can take a Targetting Array for the 2 bodyguards?

Sounds pricey.... Lots of points down the drain on that unit alone.

Everything else in the list seems viable... It just somehow seems like not a lot of models for 2000 pts..... have you rechecked the unit costs? Im sure my 2k list has more suits and more XV88's... somehow?

Yea i find that although pricey they normaly wont die if i use my assult moves well and battle suits in my expirence will deal alot more damage per suit than it seems.

it comes out to 1969 so you are right a little low on points but i can always add some bling or cut down on firewarrior teams to add a second piranha for a little bit of dualality?

Split the 'vres off into your Monat FKs. Make 'em Team Leader, PR/MP Target Array, and then hwMTs. You'll save 5 points each, keep BS 4, and the 'El can still attach to a pair if you want.

MTs and TAs are a lot of upgrade for one BC. Add SMS to make it worthwhile or just run a dumbfish, Dispod only.

Those points you saved above can be spent on Target Locks allowing the RGs to work tanks and the BCs to hit troops.

Go Team Leader instead of 'vre, and get a BK for the same points. A 'Vre's stat increase does nothing for you against MEqs in h2h, so why take it?

I messed up a little on the monats they are team leaders already. im just not sure about spending so many points on a battlesuit with Bs3

the devilfish the way i have them loaded out can move 12 inches shoot the BC and the two gun drones so thats my logic there

the only reason i took BC was because its a mandatory choice i intend on moving 12 inches then shoting the rail gun. i was under the impression that would mean the BCs cant shoot?

The multi-tracker allows the Hammerhead to move 6" and fire all weapons, including both burst cannons.

Devilfish, even with a MT, cannot move more than 6" and shoot with the gun drones. The Gun Drones shoot as if they were passengers (check the FAQ), so they aren't allowed to fire if the vehicle moved at Cruising speed. Unless you are packing a SMS, IMO it's not worth it to bring a MT on Devilfish.

Ok im looking in the tau codex right now and the multi tracker allows it to fire as if it were a fast vehicle and in the rulebook for 40k it says at crusing speed (12 in) it can fire one weapon you can check that but without a FAQ i am lead to beleive that i can move 12 in and fire my railgun.

Gun drones fire using their own BS and can fire as long as another gun is permited to fire.
