Hi

Every now and then I like to post something in here from my P&M blog to see what you all think which helps me improve my painting skills.

So today I have a Plague Marine squad I just finished.

Pic is fully zoomable and individual shots of the squad can be found in my gallery.

Hope you like them.

Models look nurgle alright but whats with the base?Is it some strange planet or just ice?It could use some snow to go with it if thats the case in my opinion.

I agree about the bases. They are too bright and draw your eye away from the model.

You've done a very good job giving them the weathered, haggard look of Chaos Marines long at the fight, but if I may ask, what are the bases intended to represent? I can't quite tell if they are supposed to be ice, water, or blue rock of some kind.

I like them, and i bet it is blue rock all along... that dont look like ice (lack of reflection, and snow), or water...

But i think that dont fit with the unit collor, i think it is the army theme, probably...

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

The base adds that much needed detail. Most people base plague marines on rock or another light color base that clashes with the color of the marines. The blue base ( what ever it is) looks good and helps to define the marines. The bone through out the models could use another high light or some darker wash in the ridges. Other than that, I don't care to much for the red on the champion, But other than those couple of points, they look good and gooie. Keep it up.
