You are fighting an uphill battle. Whether it is meched up henchmen or actual Grey Knights, things are not in your favor.

I would recomment the Fatecrusher builds as your best bet. You need Khorne's power weaons to take them down and Fateweaver's buffs to stay alive long enough to do it.

Honestly one of the best armies to defeat the GK is the IG, because they have so much firepower and guns. plus you have so many men if the GK get in CC with just one squad it wont really matter because you have like 1200 more men ready to shoot the GK the second the win CC

Point over your opponent's shoulder.
Scream "OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!!"
When your opponent turns to look,
pull out your hammer and destroy Grey Knights.

You did remember to bring a hammer right?

Since i personaly play GK i would have to agree with Oppressor at that being the best way to solve your problem, tho it may cause more of the board.

on the forum. Obviously

Nah mate...you need a blow torch. If the opponent has metal models, then the hammer ain't going to do anything.

Anyway, OT.
I would use any thing with Blessing of the Blood God for a start, to get an instant 2+ invul against NFW.

Power weapons, loads of them.
Stay in cover, evade firefights as much as you can, get in CC ASAP.

Flamers work well when they are outside of their transports. Breath of chaos denys armour saves, cover saves and fnp so it is very cost effective vs expensive Grey Knight infantry models.

More troops! Swamp the GK lines with Bloodletters and Plaguebearers. Small units of Horrors and Flamers to support. Avoid too many big monsters.

All praise the Omnissiah!

In my minds eye I figure you would want to get into Close Combat as fast as possible with Khorne models with Blessing of the Blood God so you have a 2+ save against all those force weapon attacks.

2-3 heralds of Khorne on Juggernauts with might, fury, blessing

2-3 units of Fiends to drop far and hunt down vehicles

1 unit of Bloodcrushers to help deliver the Heralds into the Grey knight lines without getting shot.

1 unit of Flesh hounds because they all have the blessing

Pleaguebearers and/or horrors with bolt as troops

Then you fill in the remaining points with either Fateweaver or 4 Heralds in total or some walking Daemon Princes with bolt of change to help open up transports, or even screamers.

Once the transports are popped, the Heralds of Khorne should go nuts on the units. That's how it works in my minds eye.

I have played against GK with Daemons in a tournament setting 5 times (3 at a GT and 2 at an RTT) and I am currently 3-2 against them. One loss to a Coteaz list with shunting interceptors (we had second turn) - Both losses at the RTT and I made some massive mistakes in one game, the other was the Coteaz. Not that this makes me uniquely qualified to provide advice, but I have some experience.

Some general advice:

-Always take the first turn against an opponent with Strike Squads or Interceptors
-Fast units are your friend (or very aggressive deep striking). You cannot afford to take more than one round of their shooting given the number of S5 shots they can pour out. Also, you NEED to get the charge on them

-Greater Daemons, unfortunately, get torn apart by GK. They all pack Psydreads to take down vehicles and those just eat you up

-Dreadknights with a teleporter and Heavy Inferno are a massive pain. Dark Excommunication standard means you are going to struggle getting through that 2+. A MC in this case can be a real asset. I also would not hesitate to drop Bolts into them.

The typical Daemon 'power' builds work against GK (Fateweaver, maxed crushers). There are also some other units have been particular effective against GK.

Seekers - They have a long charge, a large footprint to grab cover and can rip open vehicles.

Soul Grinders - My DP's tend to get blown to bits against GK so in my lists SG's tend to be better. I have started using Phlegm again for the 36" range, which lets you stay out of psycannon range and shoot. If they want to put some Dreads into them (penning on a 6) that is okay with me. It normally saves some crushers from shots. Also, if they have some units w/o Daemon Hammers the SG are just autowins

Flamers - These guys demand a response and they are good against MEQ so it is not surpise they are good against GK. I really like to hit paladins with them to start piling up wounds on the models. Also, a GK is 25 points so you can kill a disgusting number of points with these with a little luck!

Screamers - They have Melta bombs and are fast which lets you tie up those pathetic in CC psydreads with a decent shot at wrecking them.

Daemonettes - This one surprised me, I really like Daemonette speed overall. I think increased mobility and threat range is key to any non fatecrusher list. Defense grenades really help reduce the incoming attacks if they get charged, they can threaten vehicles and every rend is golden. You lose 3 or 4 on average to a Strike Squad on the charge.

Otherwise, the mission type can make a huge difference against GK. You really need them to break their castle. If they can stay in a group they will put a vehicle shield wall in front of them and shoot the heck out of you. That means KP missions against them are an uphill battle. Some LoS blocking terrain is good as well.

I don't know why people are suggesting destroying the GK guy's models. That's like, a crime.

What you need to do is mess with his mind in a non-illegal way. You remember that movie Dumb and Dumber? Remember the part where Jim Carrey does the most annoying sound in the world? Get that clip, then loop it. Play it continuously whenever it is your opponent's turn. It will distract him and he will make mistakes in game. And best of all, he can't call the cops on you.

Cthulus spy has a very good point this thread is about how to DEASTROY the grey knights, and smathing them with a hammer, or melting them with a torch would destroy them.

Calypso's advice to take the first turn against SS and Interceptors is good advice, and with Daemons is top priority; going second or allowing GKs to spread his Warp Quake units across the board basically means game over, since you will not be able to come on. At all. Ever.

It's a horrible, horrible tactic in terms of sportsmanship and the spirit of the game (similar to players that cover the opponent's board edge on the first turn of DoW game so nothing can come on) but it's effective and wins games against daemons.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Flesh Hounds. There, I said it.

Cheap, fast, and have a 2++ against force weapons. Khornate Daemons actually have a pretty good matchup against GK because of Blessing of the Blood God. I hope that this fact causes Matt Ward to cry himself to sleep at night.
