Hello,
ive been browsing now for a few days, ive recently become interested in Infinity. It took me ages to decide on a faction (all the factions have some awesome models...there so pretty! :L ) and have decided on PanOceana. However the models i like most are the knight type models, and my question is this: could i make a decent army (well, squad? Team?) from the Magister knights kit, and a few other models (the Order Sergent, Guardo De Assaulto, Teutonic Knight, Knight Of Montessa, Bagh-Mari. obviously not all of these, these are just some i like). Thank you in advance.

You mean the Magister Order Start box right. Then yes they are a good starting point, but in a standerd force you can only feild 2 of the Order Sergents.
But after you learn the basics you can try a MO sectional, I being thinking about them or a JSA for my 4th force for sometime now. You trade the ability to choose any PanO unit but gain the ability to feild more of the units you can choose, only real down side no AD troops and Hackers do to being HI. They pack Spitfre over HMG so like to get right in there enemys face before they cut them down with a hail of bullets, CC is a fools game. Note on unit choose, you can only mix 2 Knight Orders, Order Sergents and Magister Knights don't count to this limit.
Go to the Infinity site and get there Army Builder and play around building list, and using the hyperlinks in it to learn what the skills and weapons do.
But, no matter what you do have fun.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor. |

So, like warhammer there's limits to the armies? I can't just field any combination I like? il give the rules and the army builder a look when I have access to a proper computer. Thanks

You can field any unit in the PanO army list in a PanO army, but there are AVA for each unit. So a Light Inf might have AVA 4, you can take 4 of them. While a Heavy Inf might have AVA 2 you could only feild 2 of them. The only thing you HAVE to have in a force is a Lt, but like over half the units have a Lt option, so even thats pretty open.
Now if you go MO, while its still a PanO force, it limits you to only the Knight type troop on the PanO army list. But, the AVA change so a unit that was AVA 1 might become a AVA 4 unit.

Oh I see, that sounds alot more customisable than warhammer I really like the knight models, while some of the other ones are pretty meh to me. Automatically Appended Next Post: Am i being stupid, or is the army builder thing foreign? :L anyway to change it?

There's a flag icon down at the bottom of the screen where you choose your faction. Click the English/American one.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

It's a "MILITARY Order" starter, not "Magister Order".
The MOs allow you to take:
Order Sgts,
Knights
Magister knights
Joan
Seraph (knightly TAG - no model as yet).
Father-Officer Gabriel De Fersen.
Remotes.
No Guarda de Assaulto (it's an Acontecimento sectorial or plain vanilla PanO option only)
Sectorial armies restrict which units you can take - but balance it by allowing you to take more of those particular ones.
