I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I've recently been thinking about the modelling possibilities in creating an Imperial Guard Tank Company. There used to be an actual army list for this, but like the Kroot this has disappeared into the mists of time. What's the current situation here?

I'm well aware the current IG Codex offers no way to do this (beyond Russes in HS, Hellhounds in FA and Chimera troops) but I'm not familiar with any of the Imperial Armour, Apocalypse or other expansion rules. Do any of them currently offer a tank company style army list?

In fact, it doesn't necessarily have to be Imperial Guard. So, any way to make this happen?

I know one of the Imperial Armor books has it in it. I think, but am not sure that they have an update online?

The IA 1/2 update on the FW dowloads site has the army list, as well as it being available in IA 5 as the DKoK Tank Coy

About midway down, called "Imperial Armour Volume 1 Rules Update (v1.1)". Contains the armored battalion rules, which is the spiritual successor to the armored company rules.

You can play a Tank Company in Apocalypse. Pretty sure there isn't a FO restriction for those types of games.

There isn't and there's a specific datasheet for a Leman Russ tank company, with 9 tanks and a command tank.

You don't really need to play Apoco, just play someone who allows FW. Check out the FW IA 1 update. Take a Salamander Command vehicle for HQ in then use the regualer IG codex, 2-3 squads of Chimera vets, them max out with 9 tanks for heavy, and maybe throw in some fast. and there you go.

It's time to go full Skeletor
