You might have trouble with objective games.

hmm.. I guess your right. But I kinda built it to be as assaulty as I could with using the new stuff that is out. Maybe drop canis for more troops if I was worried about objectives.

Only thing that I would change is giving the Lord a Claw or Frost Blade to capitalize on Initiative 5.

Maybe make your troops cheaper overall by dropping the Power Weapons and Plasma Pistols and using those points to beef up some other units.

My motto for objectives is simple: "You don't have to worry about objectives if everyone else is dead"

"United States Marine Corps: When it absolutely and positively has to be destroyed overnight"

"If all else fails, empty the magazine"

Well I could but for my first Wolf lord I wanna do a progression thing. That Thunder Hammer guy and his name gots a bt of history and is known for a chaos destroyer after taking on a whole troop of berserkers and a demon lord and winning lol.

So its the same character but he upgraded and now has a thunderwolf mount as a prize for that victory.

But yes, after next wolf lord a frost axe he will have lol.

The list looks grand, one thing though on your wolf lord, since he will probably be with a TWC squad would it not be better to drop the thunderhammer on one squad and replace it with a wolf claw to up the kills and reduce the number of saves that you'll have to take on the lord before he gets to hit?

Another thing you could try if you do the above is to drop the 2 plasma pistols, that gives you the option of taking saga of the bear on the wolf lord to give him an even greater chance of surviving everything thrown at him.

If you feel that the wolf lord is enough of a points sink and he may just be, I would put MOTW on the GH squads instead of a plasma pistol. D6+2 rending attakcs on the charge is usually effective and since you'll be letting fly with a wolf banner you'll at least get 4 attacks that turn.

I do like the progression of characters, it reminds me of early 3rd ed when people actually cared about that sort of thing.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.
