Here are some shots of what I have started with. I am going for a not the norm look to my Necrons. I did not want the metallic look, although I will be incorporating some silver into some of the painting, as well as some heavier weathering on the warriors and such to show some of the age of the forces. I will add that they are not finished, but the major work on them is and I am now into doing some of the higher level detail on them. I have resin bases and such all coming in to put them on, so that is also coming in the near future. I have around 35 warriors and some special characters and such to finish up, really get them started. With all of that, thanks for looking and the comments. Any advice on the air brushing side is welcome as this is my real first major project using it, but other than that, thanks for looking.

You are welcome to go through to my blog, Here to see more shots of the work I am doing on them.

Here are some updates on the project. I have not accomplished a ton, but instead of trying to do masses at once, I wanted to take a bit more time and focus on fine details.

For more, please go through here to see addtional shots of my necrons. Comments are welcome as always, so please feel free to let me know your thoughts. Thanks for looking.

I made that mistake with my grey knights....not doing that one again. All metal painted models just leave something to be desired.

I decided on something drastic. I did not like the lack of contrast that was on these so I when ahead and changed the color pallet a bit. Some thoughts on these would help, but I am fairly committed to the look and plan on expanding on it. Incorporating some gold, and reds into it, with the tesla weapons glowing in green.

They look quite interesting ... any plans for washes or anything to make the passangers stand out or reveal a few details?

Yes, I am planning a several more details, this is more of a base to start from. I have not defied if I want to do any weathering or such either, but that might be in the cards as well.

Thank you.

Here are some shots of my annihilation barges as they are getting closer to completion.

You are welcome to see more if you go here. Otherwise, I have a few thoughts, one would be what color am I going to do for the troops/overlord and such. I am also going to incorporate green, going from dark to vibrant in the center of the tesla areas for the weapons, and energy cores.
