Hello guys, I currently own the mini rulebook and a bunch of plastic models. But I couldnt find a page that list all the point cost in the rulebook, unlike warhammer. Since I collect the Germans, Im wondering is buying Grey Wolf alone enough.

Grey Wolf is a good buy. Alternatively check out some of the FREE official briefings here: http://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=108&kb_cat_id=100

Actually its almost exactly like Warhammer. The rulebook has the core rules while the Intelligence Briefings/Battle Books/Compilations are the equivalent of Warhammer's Army Books/Codices.

For generic magic items? Yeah.

For the actual armies, no.

I don't have the current WHFB rulebook and while it may give points costs, I would imagine you would still need an Army Book to play the army.

Oh I think i have an older version of the rulebook, cause from the pictures, the tomb king skeletons were just naked skeletons like VC. I think its 5th or 6th edition.

Er this seems to have derailed somewhat!

What are you after Danli7 is it the points costs of individual units in FOW?

Unfortunately using the Force structure list, you select the platoon then turn to the page it says in the corner and then you can select the equipment and it's associated points cost.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

back of each faction section. With V3 alot of this should be now in the forces book.

You need to buy a source book of your choice to get a company that your models will work with.

What models do you actually have? That could give us a good idea of what book you could buy.

if you are going to play late war then yes grey wolf would be the thing to buy.

if you want specific lists (orders of battle) there is a website that you can buy them for $1 ea that is sanction by battlefront but for the life of me i cant think of the name.

And if you're planning on playing on the Western Front you may want Earth & Steel instead of Grey Wolf.

It also depends on if you want to remain fluffy or not.

If the other players insist on lists being completely historical then that will limit you.

Otherwise you can cherry pick what book your list will come from. A Panzergrenadier company can have some variation from book to book. Usually in its support options, but sometimes the basic platoon may have some additional options that you may find attractive over a different one.
