So, I found these while looking for scenic bases. Look pretty sweet.

Anyone here ever bought anything from this company? Any problems or recommendations?

I haven't bought their bases but I have purchased some of their pewter miniature heads. The quality was good with little to no clean up required as far as flash and mold lines were concerned.

When I bought the heads it was from a retailer and not directly from Secret Weapon so I can't vouch for their customer service.

Secret Weapon has some of the best Customer Service I have seen. I have ordered many of their bases including the one you are showing and are good quality. I would recommend them with no hesitation.

I ordered 20 skull field bases with zero problems, and to be honest they are a lot better then i thought they were going to be.

I've ordered their Alien eggs.

The detail on the eggs was greatly and faithfully cast. However, there were a plethora of noticeable bubbles on the top.

I'd recommend them regardless. I've heard they have good customer service, and even moderate modeling skills will make their stuff great.

to the OP I ordered a whole space wolves army worth of those (90 25mm, 10 40mm, 7 60mm) going to fill the recessed part full of snow and give the trunks a blasted/burned look to them...can't wait!

Easy people to deal with haven't ran into any problems...

Another interesting question: A normal Space Marine doesn't quite fit on a 25mm base. (His toes stick off.) Will he fit in one of the hollow SWM bases?

Im currently using those exact bases for my PH ultras, SM are a bit bigger than the base so somewhere there is gonna be some over hand. Excellent bases though, i recommend the basing pack to gowith them. You can see them in my thread here

SWM is my go to company for aftermarket products. Justin and his team are amazing. If you have a question or want to bounce a idea off him he is super-fast on the response time. And he also thinks a bit outside of the box as well. I made a purchase in January of the bone field base taking advantage of a facebook promotion. I ordered for my Desert based Dark Eldar. From all the bases I think I found maybe 3 air bubbles that were not on the bottom of the base. but are barely noticeable in the pile of bones. I didn't even fill in the hollow section with anything.

120 25mm Bonefield
20 40mm Bonefield
and a little something that was a surprise.

I've also in the past ordered 2 of the washes that I'm really starting to like more than the GW washes. A package of the 28mm skulls, the flight stand widget, and a brush.

I bought a bunch of their backpacks for my son's IG:

Vey happy with them as the detail was good and the casting was clean with minimal flash.

I've bought a few things off him, and been quite impressed with the quality. Justin used to frequent another forum I visit regularly (I haven't seen him post there for a while though, unfortunately) and is a very talented modeller and painter. His tanks in particular were awesome

I'd definitely recommend Secret Weapon on the basis of the Brass-Etch Panniers alone! I haven't seen anything similar from any other company...

I use his stuff all the time and he's the first person I go to for stuff.
People have mentioned the customer service as a big thing too.

When people ask me, "How do you build your army?"
I tell them its "The ten-zero factor, coolness ten, combat effectiveness... zero."

I've also bought their bases to base my entire GK army. I can only repeat what the others are saying:

- Excellent quality: the bases require little to no cleanup, no warping, only air bubbles on the bottom. A quick wash in warm soapy water and the removal of the rare bit of flash is enough.
- Excellent customer service: quick and personal replies. Justin even went as far to make a youtube video explaining something just for me.
- Fair prices: it's actually affordable to get a decent amount of bases for your army, especially considering the quality.

I'll defintely buy from him again in the future when I base my next army.

Does anyone know the GW rules (in store and tournaments) concerning third party bases? I'd like to purchase some secret weapon bases as well, but I don't like gimping myself for future tournaments and such.

I've never heard any base specific horror stories, though I have heard the horror stories (kicked out for using non-GW glue, seriously?). I know all of your MODELS have to be GW.

I cannot seriously imagine this happening, but somehow it wouldn't surprise me. I've confirmed at least one story of someone being thrown out for only having plain black bases. I think it's just a common sense thing, though, and as long as I don't call attention to it I should be fine.

Just to add to the avalanche of positive responses, I've bought from them and was really impressed both by the quality of the merchandise and the customer service. It may be a small operation but it's professionally run, and they put out really nice stuff.
