I got this model from a good friend of mine because I have nothing to paint. I finished this little bugger in about 30-35 minutes and its also my first time painting Necrons. Whatta you guys think?

Strange choice of painting I think. Looks a little too orange to be considered "bone"

Okay, I think you did a fantastic job with painting each individual color. The shading on the bone parts is amazing, and while it doesn't look all that 'bone' to me either, it looks far more ivory, which I like better anyhow.

That being said, I urge you not to go with this color scheme for your Necrons. It reminds me of an animated villain from an old cartoon show. I can't quite put my finger on it. Skeletor? No...hopefully it'll come to me. In any case, I don't think the ivory/bone with the metal is working. It winds up looking like he's a skeleton in a big metal turtleshell.

It's not that you aren't a quality painter. You do a far better job (especially with metallics) than I can do! It's just that I don't think these particular colors work together, in this particular combination. If you are dead set on this combo, then maybe just play around with what colors go where. I'm not sure what the perfect fix is, but I think it's just a matter of fine-tuning the design. I might be wrong though. Check and see what other folks think.
