Hello I'm a huge fan of the SM and the Imperium. I've always loved two chapters the BA and the BT. I've looked over their rules and still come up asking myself what a lot of you tourney vets would say about the pros and cons of the two of these chapters being compared to one another.

The Templars have migrated to being a fairly strong MSU firepower army, centered around 5 man squads with lascannons and plasmaguns, and 5 man Terminator squads with double cyclones all supported by cheap Land Speeder Typhoons.

Blood Angels have similarly migrated to a strong MSU build focused on 5 man assault squads in fast razorbacks, backed by a mix of Predators and Baal Predators.

Or they can load up on jump packs, race across the board, and punch people in the nose.

Very well put, thank you. I'm putting a BA army together and I just don't want to use the assault+razorback that literally everyone I've talked to on here has mentioned. I plan on using a more diverse group of units. Though I'm sure this defeats the purpose of the new BA codex entirely.

BA ASM spam with lots of FNP

Black Templars have the Holy Hand Grenade. And can put terminator squads into drop pods as DT. POTMS on any tank and it was FAQed up to normal BS.

I find these only a few reasons to go Black Templars.

SMC, I am also putting together a BA force. I originally went with Vanilla Space Marines. I really did not like the way they play and I took a look at the BA codex and liked the extra rules and the fluff! So now I am just converting my vanilla force into BA. I was going to get BT but I was turned off at painting black armor and liked the fluff of the BA. And really, who does not like the look of the Death Company? They are so cool! I will hopefully be getting an airbrush to do highlights on them though. Also....BT you cant have Librarians as they hate people with psychic abilities. I rely on my libby a lot in battle because of his psychic abilities. So there are my thoughts
