so i got the new necron battle force and im not sure the best way to build it. I was thinking just makeing 20 warriors and 5 tesla immortals but looking at the sprue it looks like i might be able to take advantage of the immortal sprue and build some deathmarks and gauss immortal out of the warrior bodies.

I picked up a Lychguard/Praetorian box as well and plan to use the Warrior Torso + Legs with the Praetorians Rod of the Covenant and Deathmark heads for some cheap(er) Crypteks.

Also this isn't really a tactics discussion is it?

Depends on what the OP's looking for.

Is he looking for suggestions about how to build them for a competitive list? Tactics works. If he's looking for suggestions on how to convert more dudes out of the parts he's got, Painting & Modeling would be more appropriate.

Based on here he posted it, I'm guessing it's the former, rather than the latter.

Along those lines, going with warriors & immortals makes sense to me. A big unit of warriors with Guass led by an Overlord with Pharon is a good unit. Immortals with Guass are also very good.

It's really quite dependant on how you want to play it, as a foot slogger, go with telsa immortals and doomsday arc.

If you want to go more mech'ed and mobile, I'd field immortals with (whatever) and do some small conversions on 5 of the warriors to build a DM squad.

Well a 20 man Warrior Squad supported by a Ghost Ark and Lord w/ Res Orb will be an excellent objective camper or KP denial unit. Honestly if I was building a competitive Necron list that's where I would start.
