If you are shooting for a night goblin only army I would get some heroes/lords like shaman and bosses, fanatics are also a must in night goblin lists and the manglers are quite solid. The thing that a night goblin army lacks is heavy hitters and your fanatics and your manglers bring that, however they are not stable so I think the giant and some trolls would help. If you are willing to bend the rules and allow other goblins this gives you war machines, chariots, wolf and spider riders, archanox. Or you can use night goblins in place of their goblins or sculpt some hoods and robes. Overall enjoy it they are a very fun army.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Best suggestions would be to get a rulebook and the Orcs and Goblins army book if you don't have those. You can find the small rulebook from Island of Blood on Ebay for cheap. Read through it, learn how the basics of the game works, then read through the army list. You will get a decent idea for what could work. Then perhaps post an army list in the army list section and get critique there.
Night Goblins are VERY swarmy, so you will need lots (I mean LOTS, like a few hundred pretty easily for decent to large point games). The Goblin based army (and really all of Orcs and Goblins) is really random, funny and often explosive. Mangler Squigs, Fanatics and other squig based models (hoppers, herds) are very nasty, hard hitting and random. Giants are probably the silliest unit in any army book, with a lot of random attacks.
Hope this was helpful and I'm not stating obvious things to a veteran player I just thought was new. XD Good luck!

The correct question is, would I be enjoying this hobby if I did this?
The correct audience is you. |

If going all-Night Goblins, look for some leftover copies of The Battle for Skull Pass. Each box comes with 60 Night Goblins, a Shaman, a Troll, and a Big Boss / Warboss with a Great Weapon. Three of them, some greenstuff / string (for net conversions), and a few boxes of Fanatics will have all the basic Core models you'll ever need.
Three boxes worth of Skull Pass gives you enough for three units 36-Goblin units with either Spears or Hand Weapons (hand weapons requires minor cutting, and can't be done well with all models, but you can get at least one unit of 36 from two boxes), and two units of 29 Archers, all of them Full Command.
Similarly, the old Night Goblin boxes (the one with giant Goblins) work amazingly well for converting characters. If you have any conversion experience, you can clip and chop them every which way to have Shield-bosses, Great Weapon-bosses, Shamans, etcetera. They are also slightly taller than regular Goblins, which makes them easier to pick out when putting away / make a focus of your army.

Get more Night Goblins, a Lord/Hero, a Bsb and a few other hardhitting things like the Arachnarok Spider or some trolls for example. Make sure you get some Fanatics when the opponents charge release Fanatics from back. They re-appear at the front of your unit causing alot of damage to your opponent, sure you may loose a few Goblins but your opponent will loose more than what you do.

Another trick - similar to this - is parking the front of a Spear Chukka about 4-5" in front of your unit. You make it so, even thrown sideways, a 2 will wind up ahead of the Spear Chukka, it's rather unlikely for you to roll enough to go through the enemy unit (again, sideways throwing), and a Spear Chukka is T7 meaning you're unlikely to cause more than a single wound in the process.
