As the title says: I'm wondering if it's worthwhile getting this airbrush and compressor or investing in a slightly more expensive one?

Thanks in advance =)

tbh you need to be able to get down to 15-20 PSI on your Compressor. Check Harder & Steinbeck
Ther Infinity Solo is what i have and i love it. also ordered their compressor. Worth the extra money

This is a great airbrush for starting out. I have this exact compressor/airbrush with a different sticker on it.

This compressor will last you about two years, the airbrush will last about six to eight months if you take halfway decent care of it. Get a bottle of airbrush cleaner. After this the airbrush will pretty much be worn out. You can get a repair kit for half of what a new airbrush will cost - I just buy new airbrushes because the kit doesn't always fix them.

After about two years my compressor ended up with some kind of leak but two years is really about all you can expect out of a cheap oil-less compressor.

I would not spend a ton of money on an airbrush starting out. Start with something cheap and simple. This will let you learn the basics and then you can move into better/more expensive equipment as this stuff needs replacing.

If you are wanting this setup to primarily basecoat models and spray on washes it is perfect, if you are wanting to do superfine details and lines it isn't what you are after.
