I want to do a Deff Dread conversion of a looted space marine dreadnaught. I have some extra grots and glyphs and exhaust pipes to make it orky, but I don't know which Dreadnaught to use. I am not extremely familiar with the space marine units so, I need whichever one has the most melee weapons I could orkify. I plan on having at least three Deff Dread Close combat weapons, and I want to not have to buy as much extra bits.
So which Dreadnaught would be the easiest to do this too and has the most extra weapon choices?(Included with it)
Thanks in Advance!

Your best bet would probably be an Iron Clad Drednought.

It looks rough, has 2 CCW choices, and a ton a bit to use. All you need to do is Ork it up...and that is your choice.

PM me if you want me to draw anything related to Warhmmer 40k. I will put it in my gallery for all to see.

Start with an AOBR Dread.. cheaper if you make serious mistakes, and hacking at it does tend to Orkify things a bit.

There is also the blood angels libbie dread, and Bjorn from space wolves. Personally your best bet is to use the iron clad. If you really wanted something that stands out. Dread knight from grey knights. Its kinda a dreadnought. But alot bigger.

I had a play with a similar idea but didnt finish it.

heres an image.

The concept was more like a dread becomes power armour with an ork hardwired into it instead of a SM. More pics on my gallery.

Thanks for all the replies! From what you guys says ironclads the best. I would use the AOBR but i already gave/sold/traded all of the space marine stuff away before having this idea.
Thanks Everybody

Personally I'd use a cheap AoBR dread, and replace the weapons (or the whole arms if necessary) with orky equivalents - that will save a pile of cash and nicely suit the concept of a looted vehicle.
