I noticed a link in another topic on this forum for an army centered around Elefant tank destroyers, and me having a soft spot for them decided to throw together a list. My thought behind it is that it may not be the most competitive, but having several platoons of giant tank hunters on the field has to have some kind of intimidation factor, and besides, they look cool so thats reason enough for me (it also gives me a chance to field the ones I bought and never used in my regular panzerkompanie

Company HQ w. Tiger P - 285

Schwere Panzerjager Platoon w. 2 Elefants - 600
Schwere Panzerjager Platoon w. 2 Elefants - 600

Panzer Pioneer Platoon w. 3 squads - 145
Grenadier Platoon w. 2 squads - 110
Rocket Launcher Battery w. 4 Nw41 - 160
Panzer AA Gun Platoon w. 1 Sd Kfz 7/1 and 1 T-34(r) - 105

Total 2005 points

I don't expect this to be super competitive, more of a fun list to play when I don't want to grind the enemy to paste. That said, I do want to win on occasion. Thoughts or concerns?

It could probably do with some recon to stop those Elephants getting ambushed. and you could do with losing five points from somewhere. Otherwise it looks like a good list, certainly a tough nut to crack.

What would you suggest I shave 5 points off of? Also, the only dedicated scout unit in the list I believe are motorcycle scouts, and I've never used them. I'd also need to find somewhere for 120 points to take the min sized unit

That is a hard list to keep on the level. Hmmm? Not sure.

The fourth nebelwerfer and the panzer pioneers (I don't rate the tiny four base platoons) could go. I'd probably use some of the spare points to bump up the size of the Grenadier Platoon. The ten base pioneer platoon looks like an interesting compromise. They're only rifle teams so may need some help if you think they'll get assaulted. They're pioneers so tanks will avoid them like the plague, indeed tanks will probably avoid most of your army like the plague. Panzergrenadiers are also a good buy, more mobile and ROF 2 when pinned.

This. Get rid of Pioneers, grab some Recon, Armour has had it against this list (watch for for Aircraft though).

Alternatively I could switch the grenadier platoon to the 10 base pioneer platoon

I count seven pioneer bases or seven grenadier bases so it comes down to RoF 2 vs Tank Assault 4. I'm tempted to go with the higher RoF given the rest of your list.

My bad on the pioneers The unit is capable of 10 bases, I just can't find anywhere to shave the points.
